Vashnavi

I proceeded outside my apartment not forgetting to lock it behind me as I headed towards my workplace.

I had been working in a big restaurant as a chef for about a year and it got me good money, I had a pretty big apartment where I lived with no one but myself, none of my family members were in Korea.

I entered the restaurant to be pulled in by someone in a big rush. "You're already late Vash, hurry up we have a lot of customers today." I took a look around the restaurant and indeed we had way more customers than usual.

"Is there something special today?" I asked unsure of why we had so many customers, normally it was only half the restaurant that would be occupied but that day a few people were even waiting outside for seats.
"Not really but go fast!" She pushed me to the kitchen, I got my apron and then got to work in a hurry.

Well, that was Jinyoung, my best friend and colleague. She was a waitress, and we had known each other for 3 years. We met in high school when we were both 17.

The rest of the work time went by cooking in a hurry, the large number of customers drained my strength to zero and I was desperate to go back home. Then around 6pm there was no one left in the restaurant as the last customer left and relief washed over mine and all the other workers faces.

~~

The kitchen door burst open and the doer, Jinyoung, cry-screamed something I couldn't catch. She fell to the floor as tears came out of her eyes, she was continuously mumbling something while holding some wound on her leg.

"What's wrong!?" I panicked and ran to sat beside her, all the workers were off already, and we were the last one to leave and then I heard her say something. "Soulmate" she whispered and continued mumbling words. "Tattoo" "An hour of pain" and that's when I got what she was saying. She found her soulmate.

I had never seen someone find their soulmate in front of me so I sat beside her with no idea about how it was but people said that when you find your soulmate a tattoo appears on your body and the scary part is that it appears anywhere without your consent and then you go through an hour of immense pain that is unbearable but if you're around your soulmate when the tattoo forms then the pain is almost not there--, I was again distracted by her mumbling.

"Find him." "I h-have a week" and it hit me like a truck, she lost the guy and doesn't know where he went. Another thing people say is that if you by chance lose your soulmate you have to find them within a week or you end up falling really really sick.
