It was yet another day for their outside mission. Eunji, Ari and a few others are picked for the mission today.

Their destination for today isn't the same hospital they had barely escaped from, but instead, Hui asked them to check out the abandoned retail shops along Cheongju Street. Everything was going fine at the base, but their food supplies were getting shorter each day.

The group members walked cautiously on their way to the street, scared of bumping into a group of you-know-who.

Standing closely around each other, they kept their eyes on the street. They had to be vigilant in this situation. If not, who knows what will happen to them.

"We're here, let's check the shop one by one" Eunji commanded.

Eunji was appointed as the group leader for today's mission. Her remarkable action from before has brought the trust of many, including the base leader.

Eunji made her way to a convenience shop, with Ari following closely behind her. There they found a lot of foods; snacks, buns, canned drinks, you name it.

The girls looked at each other before cheering in happiness.

"I can't believe this! I honestly thought that the store would be empty" Ari beamed happily, which Eunji agreed with. They took everything they could find, shoving them in their bag before making their way to another stop.

Eunji spotted a hardware shop and immediately grabbed Ari's arm, speeding up her pace.

"I need to find something to upgrade my weapons" Eunji spoke up.

She went to different aisles and started searching for stuff that she can use as weapons. Apparently, the walkers aren't easy to deal with, so the better the weapon, the easier it is to kill them.

Suddenly, Eunji saw something, or someone moving beside her. She was alerted and was about to hit that thing before she realized who the person was.

"Gosh, you scared me Sunmi" Eunji put her hands in her chest as she breathed out in relief.

Sunmi giggled at the girl and asked her if she was done with her part, since they had to go back to their base soon.

Storing everything in their bags, they were finally ready to head back to the base. They walked in pairs just like before, but this time Eunji was in front. She held her bow tightly as she observed the surroundings, turning her head to the left and right every now and then.

She was about to turn right when she spotted a group of walkers, roaming around the place mindlessly with only one motive; to find humans and eat them, or in another word, infect them.

"Shit" Eunji muttered under her breath.

She slowly turned her head, facing everyone at her back.

"I don't think we can move freely here. Let's use another route" She stated before telling everyone to stay quiet and move quickly.

Crack

Eunji shut her eyes as fear crossed her face, she slowly turned her head towards the source of the sound.

Someone had accidentally kicked an empty alcohol bottle at the side of the road, which made the bottle crack and broken glass shattered freely around the area.

The cracking sound could be heard clearly as it was getting closer towards the youngsters.

"Run!" Eunji told everyone, stopping at her place in an attempt to let the others escape first.
