" not all of us are gonna make it out, alive "

"Noona, I'm here!" They stopped running and turned their head towards the voice. Eunji sighed in relief when she spotted Dani running towards them.

The bliss lasted for only a few seconds before an unexpected turn of event took place.

"Dani watch out!" Eunji shouted.

Running as fast as she could, she tried her best to save the only significant person she had left, yet, she didn't manage to. She failed, again.

Do you get dejavu?

The walkers were aggressively crawling on top of the young boy as he managed to let out the last scream of help, hoping for his sister to notice.

"Eunji, please help me!"

She ran, and ran with only one goal in her mind.

She needs to save her brother

But even so, fate has cruelly decided to separate them earlier. As the girl was sprinting, she saw her brother who was chomped down on his neck, making him let out another painful scream as he tried to get the walker off him.

No, not again.

She knew she was too late, but the little hope she had left kept her running towards her brother, paying no care for the tears that were starting to cover her vision.

Eunji was only a few steps left from her brother before she got pulled roughly from the back.

"What are you doing?!" Hao yelled, clearly he was frustrated. He stopped the now crying girl by putting his hands on top of her shoulders.

"Let me go! I need to save my brother! Screaming back at him, she tried her best to shake his hands off, but to no avail.

"Please, I can't just leave him here!" She screamed again, begging at Hao who was holding her down.

Watching her struggles to get away from him made Hao felt really guilty but he had no choice, he didn't want the girl to experience the same ending.

"Dani!"

"Dani, wait for me!"

Tears were flowing endlessly from her eyes as she kept on screaming her brother's name. She wanted to run again towards her brother, but the poor girl was held tightly by her friends, not letting her move at all.

Why was no one helping him? Did he really deserve to die? It was as if she was the only person who cared about him.

Not even getting to say her last goodbye, she was forcefully dragged by the other survivors. The size of their group was now cut down to half. Only some of them managed to make it out alive, while the others were regrettably left behind.

They were now walking on an empty road, looking down as they grieved at their friends' death. They continued on walking with no destination in mind, only relying on their leader to lead them wherever he wanted.

The sun was setting as orange hues shone across their faces, making them instantly stop their pace as their heads jerked up at the alluring setting sky. It was pleasantly beautiful that they had almost forgotten the outrageous event that took their loved one's lives.

They could've enjoyed the beautiful scenery together with the others.

After some time, Hui motioned them to start walking again. It was getting darker as they sped up their pace, looking around to find a safe place for them to rest in.
