Completely heartbroken, Mingi hadn't slept at all. Yunho tried to comfort him last night, but he wouldn't open up. He didn't want to talk about it, even if it was with Yunho, his best friend.

Slowly opening her eyes, Ria noticed the foggy weather outside. She looked down to see white sheets covering her vulnerable body. Turning to her right she saw Seonghwa laying on his stomach, sound asleep.  She thought to herself, was last night the right thing to do? Was she second guessing it? It felt good but did it feel right? She was too tired to think.

After silently getting up and putting on her clothes, Ria walked out the hotel room in hopes of clearing her head. Sitting down at the hotel lounge was a sullen Mingi. He had his big grey hoodie on, his black sweat pants and he was slouching.

You look like you were punched in the face. Ria scoffed as she stood in front of him. He was looking down at his hands but hearing her voice he suddenly looked up. He had a glow in his eyes. Ria couldn't tell if he was crying or if he was happy to see her, maybe both.

Uh, yeah, I didn't get much sleep. He looked down again. Do you wanna go outside? I think I saw a door to a garden near the elevator. Sure, why not. He gave her a tight lipped smile and sighed as he got up, putting his hands in his pockets.

Pushing the door, Ria was amazed by the beautiful garden. It gave her nostalgia as it reminded her of the High School Musical rooftop. Oh to have a love story like Troy and Gabriella...

Are you alright Ria? Why are you up early? Mingi sat down on the small wall that contained a beautiful arrangement of grass, flowers and bushes. Sitting next to him, Ria answered.

You know what Mingi, I'm having second thoughts. I feel like my soulmate is too easy. This whole thing is going too smoothly, I guess. We have no issues, nothing to argue about, nothing to complain about... We don't feel like a couple. It's too perfect, so perfect even, that it doesn't feel right.

Ria played with her hands while she opened up to Mingi, looking at him as she finished her sentence. He looked straight into her soul and sighed.

Sometimes we don't know what we want. Sometimes we think we want something while in reality we don't. Maybe your soul thought you wanted a perfect guy like Seonghwa. Someone caring and loving, someone who will always protect you and make you feel like the most beautiful person in the world.

He looked at the tree in front of him as he organised his thoughts and kept talking.

But, that might not be the right fit for you. Ria, you... You are perfect as you are but Seonghwa makes you feel little. He overshadows you. I- I don't want to manipulate you into thinking anything, I'm- I'm sorry if I'm overstepping.

Mingi looked down towards his fingers which nervously played with each other. Ria felt clarity thanks to Mingi and she held his chin up to make him look at her.

Don't say that, you are helping me more than you think.

Mingi blushed a little at the eye contact and gave her a little smile.

Ria let her neck fall back, looking towards the sky. I think I need someone to hold me. Not because they're my soulmate, not because the universe said so. Not because it's meant to be. I need to feel love for the sole purpose of feeling love.

I get that. This world is messed up. You see, I'm a matchmaker. Ria's eyes opened wide but she didn't say a thing, letting Mingi speak. I've felt love many times. It sounds stupid but, I wish I could stop feeling love. My feelings always get in the way and they're never real. But they feel real, every single time. Except this one time.

Ria looked at Mingi with a questioning look.

I felt a lot of things but, love wasn't it. I thought it was love in the beginning. As always. But turns out that it was much more than that. Love has become such a vulgar feeling to me that, this one time felt different. He looked at her with glimmering eyes, holding back tears.

Ria softly touched his cheek with her left hand, wiping the single tear that managed to escape. Mingi held her left wrist as he inhaled and continued.

I've never known anything for sure besides this. This right now is the most real feeling I've ever had in my life. I don't care about the universe, about my fate, my matchmaker role or anything. I just care about you.

Mingi... Ria whispered softly. She also felt tears fighting to fall.

I don't know if you feel the same way, heck, you slept with Seonghwa last night. This must be such a confusing time for you. I just- I can't deal with myself anymore. This has become such a heavy burden that I give up on every social cue. Mingi started to feel more eager and so he stood up throwing his hands up.

Fuck it. I know you had sex with your soulmate yesterday and trust me I'm feeling like absolute shit because of it. But you are the only person in this whole universe who I can confidently say I love with all of my heart. I love you Ria.

Ria looked at Mingi, who stood in front of her and her breath was running faster every second. Her head was telling her that this was unbelievable and absolutely unacceptable. She had fully bonded with Seonghwa and she had to stay loyal to him.

But when did Ria ever listen to her head? Her heart was beating like crazy. She wasn't sure of anything like Mingi was, but she surely knew one thing. That, right now, at this moment, Mingi's heart and soul was fully handed to her. She felt his heart. Touching her chest, she felt his heart beat.

Mingi reached for her hand and placed it on his chest. Her breath hitched as she felt a fast yet steady rhythm on the palm of her hand. Standing up, Ria cupped Mingi's cheeks once again. They looked at each other, eyes filled with pain, longing, fear and lust.

Not waiting one single second more, Mingi closed the space between them and kissed Ria. Holding the back of her neck like she was the most precious thing in the world, Mingi held himself back for a bit, searching for her eyes, searching for her answer.

Ria had a lot of things running through her head but none of that stopped her from showing Mingi the way she felt about him. Quickly hugging his upper back, bringing him closer to her, Ria closed the space between them once again. This time, Mingi let himself melt in her touch. Their lips moved in sync. It wasn't a soft small kiss nor a lustful makeout, it was just needy and impulsive. None of them thought they would be kissing each other but there's nothing they'd rather be doing. It felt right.
