Body looked distorted when staring at a mirror, feeling alienated with your own body. That was what you were feeling recently, it felt strange looking at a mirror, staring at a body that wasn't familiar to your eyes even when it was been yours since forever. You couldn't explain it into words, it always stuck up your throat.
Some comments from few people bleed through your skull, slowly eating the tranquility that your mind built upon away.
"Your belly is popping out,"
"You look like a pregnant woman,"
"Stop wearing that, you look weird,"
"Failed to lose weight, ay?"
"Ew, how can a pro-hero look like that ?These reminders affect your everyday life, you started to lose focus on your missions, Amajiki noticed this, you don't eat your food halfway through, Amajiki noticed this, you tend to be more quiet as your mind was preoccupied all the time which wasn't usual of you, Amajiki noticed this as well.
To say the least, Amajiki have been observing you for the past weeks, gaining some details of how you act, behave and response.
You can trick anyone but Amajiki, no. You can pretend that you were fine but Amajiki wouldn't believe that even the slightest. You can show a fearless smile on your face like a hero you were and Amajiki would still know the worry behind the gaps of your teeth.
On Amajiki's perspective, he can't help but felt like he was a useless lover to you, aware of what was happening to you yet uncapable to comfort you in times of need. He was aware about that fact, nonetheless he will try because he love you dearly. A decision is made, he will comfort you by all means, though, expressing with words wasn't his strong suit so he planned to help you through actions.
...
Both of you came home late together from work, exhausted and possibly a headache coming if you two wouldn't sleep as soon as possible. You cleaned up together, it was normal for the both of you to take a shower together just like a habit but Amajiki was, in fact, still not used to it nevertheless you both got through it anyways. As you were finish dressing up for bed, Amajiki seems restless on the edge of the bed, fidgeting his fingers as he bounce his right leg in his sky blue pajamas.
You buttoned the last button of your pajamas and immediately turned to his direction. "Hey, you okay?" Worry is apparent to your sweet, warm voice. How can you still give comfort to others when you don't even receive some for yourself? Amajiki still wondered about that.
"Butterfly..." He mumbled, that nickname he gave to you still make 'butterflies' swarm inside of your stomach.
Your hum ask a question, scanning his soft features, his eyes not making any contact to yours. So adorable, so Amajiki.
"I-I should be the one asking you t-that question," He continued, finally looking to yours eyes, so full of sincerity and concern. The light in you bedroom were a bit dim since the only source of light was the lampshade but you could clearly tell that his eyes glistened behind his two-splitted bangs.
You tilted your head, an eyebrow quirking up as you asked him, "What do you mean by that?"
"I-I've been observing you lately and I noticed that you were so down... I wanted to know why?" This is it, this what Amajiki been waiting for, an answer to his uncertainties, to his worries, to his questions.
You were taken aback a bit, of course, out of all people Amajiki would be the first one to notice something wrong especially when it was about you. He is truly amazing, observant and compassionate, he was full of surprises indeed.
Now, it was your turn to be stuttering, "I-I-I..." You stumbled upon your words, it was easy for you to express when something was bothering you yet here you were, fumbling over.
