Making it into the session room, I buzz with excitement as I take my seat and wait for Ivy to show up. I'm nearly bouncing in my seat as I draw on the cover of my notebook. I draw hanging from the top left corner that have several flowers decorating them. The result is rather pretty, and I smile at the outcome.
The sound of the door opening has my head jerking up, and I beam at Ivy when I see her. She smiles brightly at me, but I can see her feet faulter a little when her eyes land on me. She must have seen the few bruises that are showing, and i can see the concern in her eyes. I'd hug her for that alone, but I have a feeling that the guards would kill us both for that.
The minute the guards sit her down in her seat, I motion at them to leave the session just like the last one. We watch as the guards make their way back out of the room, and as soon as the door closes, Ivy speaks up.
"Jesus, Harley. What happened to you?" Ivy asks me in concern, and I smile sadly at her.
"Oh, you know. Abusive boyfriends suck." I tell her, and i can see the questions in her eyes, so I decide to just blurt to all out and get it over with. "Long story short, I left his ass. He hunted me down, beat the shit out of me for leaving, then knocked me out. What's worse is he raped me while I was unconscious."
"What the fuck?!" Ivy asks rhetorically. "That's sick and twisted! More than what most of us would do, and we're the crazy people." Ivy mumbles before she grabs my hands and squeezes in comfort. "I can't believe you had to go through that. If you need anything, I'm here for you, alright?"
"Thank, Red." I say to her as I wipe away the few stray tears that fall down my face. "I haven't had a friend, a real one, in nearly 7 years. So, thank you for being there for me."
"Always, Harley. I've got your back no matter what." She tells me and we lean over the table, hugging each other tightly since her feet are chained to the chair. After a few minutes, we sit back in our chairs, and I let out a breath of relief I didn't know I was holding.
"So, how have you been Ivy?" I ask her, desperate to change the subject. I didn't want to talk about Kyle any more than I had to, and Ivy knew that. She grins at me and starts to twirl a piece of her hair as a dreamy look enters her eye.
"Well, after our last session, I went back to my cell. Selina immediately started to tease me, and even though it's torture no being able to touch her, I'm content with being in the cell next to her. At least I can still hear her voice, which is more than enough for me." Ivy says, and I smile.
I know that they're dating, but I didn't know how amazing they're relationship is. It sounds as if they're really happy with each other, and I think that they're absolutely adorable. It makes me wish to have what they have because I want to be as happy as Ivy looks.
"She's super possessive, and I love to tease her into showing just how much. She's my best friend and lover, and there's nothing I wouldn't do for her." Ivy tells me, and I snicker as I swing my legs, my heels gently tapping the floor.
"I'm happy you guys can find light in each other while being surrounded by depression in this place." I tell her and we laugh as we eye the depressing room that we're currently sitting in.
"I know! This place is more depressing than Gotham is, and they expect us to get better in this place." We give each other looks of disbelief before we start laughing. "I mean, I'd be happy with flower stickers, but I can't even get that. Nothing to liven the place up a little."
We could get her some.
"I could see about getting you some." I tell her, and her face lights up at the idea. "I might not be able to sneak you in a real flower, but I bet I could get you some stickers or even a fake one. Something at least to brighten up your cell. Well, not that I've seen it or anything, but from judging the rest of this place, I can only assume-"
