DEBUT. 1

I woke up to my alarm clock blasting in my ears, well good for me, because it was red velvet. Nothing better than waking up to red velvet singing in your ears, right?

I sighed, and tapped snooze, just to realize I wasn't even supposed to press snooze. "Shoot." I mumbled out loud. "Unnie? Are you awake?" Hyein asked me.

"Yeah I don't think i'm going to go back to sleep today. You know, I just have this really good feeling that today will be a good day." I beamed.

"Well that's great, so now, get out of bed." Hyein teased, knowing I really wasn't going to get out of bed. But, to her suprise, I slowly rolled out of bed, and went to go brush my teeth.

As I fixed my hair into two french braids, which surprisingly took only ten minutes, I heard a bang coming from the kitchen. "Is everything okay?" I yelled out to whoever was in the kitchen.

"I'm okay! It's just the pan!" Hanni called back. I swear she's too clumsy. I finished tying the end of my second braid with a pink rubber band, I left the bathroom to get something to eat.

"Do you want pancakes or some cereal?" Hanni asked. "I'll have cereal, if im still hungry i'll eat the pancakes too." I said, then went to the pantry to grab some froot loops.

"Manager just texted us. We have a meeting with the CEO today, all six of us." Minji informed us while I poured my milk. "About what? Are we getting a lecture? Or worse, getting kicked out!?" Danielle asked.

"We're going to be fineee." Minji said, dragging her word. "He said we aren't in trouble." Minji finished. "Well in that case, yay! Because I did go sneak out last night." I sighed in relief. "Why would you admit that?" Hanni said, chuckling.

"I don't know, I just needed to let it out." I smiled, then took a spoonful of my cereal. "We still have to go to practice with the other trainees too, right?" Haerin asked Minji.

"I don't think so, because the meeting time clashes with our practice, so probably not." She answered.

—— MEETING MEETING MEETING ——

"Hello fellow trainees." Min Hee-jin spoke. We greeted her back and took a seat. The room was bright, filled with windows on one side, being the main light source. The table was a typical office / meeting table that you would see in real life or a show.

"I am delighted to tell you six girls some great news." She smiled. "We have been thinking about debuting a new girl group." My face lit up when she said those words, and I could tell everyone else's did too.

"Since you girls have showed strength, bond, passion, and talent over these past months and years you have all been trainees, I am more than happy to say that you six girls, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Y/N, Haerin, and Hyein will be debuting together." She finished.

I gasped in shock, in happiness, in joy. Tears of happiness slowly started pouring out of my eyes. "Thank you." I thanked her, and everyone else did slowly after. We were all so excited to debut, especially with all of us.

"You girls will start recording and practicing starting tomorrow, good luck." Min Hee-jin said. We all said thank you and expressed how much we are honored to be debuting for a while until we were allowed to leave.

This was a start of a new era for me. A new chapter of my life. I'm finally going to be an idol, i've only dreamed of this, and it soon will come true.
