Day of Paramore show, London
"Check one two, check one two." Hayley said into her microphone as she sat on the edge of the stage with her legs dangling over the edge. She was tired and, despite loving performing, felt like they had been on tour for years, but it had only been a few weeks. They'd split their shows up to give themselves more time off during legs. The UK leg was the third leg of the tour. They'd already done Asia and South America. They were moving on to North America next, which would be the longest leg of the tour, and then finally Australia and New Zealand. They had not booked dates for mainland Europe yet.
"Sounds good to me." A familiar voice says from the edge of the stage.
Hayley lifted her head and scanned the arena for the location of the voice, her eyes wide. She was glad she'd put her contacts in this morning, otherwise she may not have been able to see the person.
"Hi." Taylor said with a warm smile as she walked closer to Hayley.
Hayley got to her feet and looked up at Taylor. She was a whole head and shoulders above her in height. "Wh-what are you doing here? I thought you were in Nashville?" She looked confused, shocked.
"Funny thing, so I got a ticket for your show while I was still in New York. And I was going to watch your performance in disguise. But then my best friend Abigail wanted to come with me, and well you don't have any more tickets available." Taylor said softly, her blue eyes shining brightly.
"Oh." Hayley said. She bent down and placed the microphone on the floor.
Taylor nodded her head and cleared her throat. "So I was going to see if there was any way I could bring her with me? And she could meet you guys."
"I have another ticket. I was saving it for my dad but he can't come." Hayley said. She looked a little disappointed, her relationship with her father had never been the most stable. Her parents had split up when she was a child and her father had remarried and had two more daughters and she always felt like an outsider when she was around them. "It's on the bus. Follow me." She led the way off the stage. And out of the venue where they were met with a large bus with huge pictures of Hayley, Zac and Taylor on the side. She opened the bus door, climbed the three stairs and made her way to her bunk.
Taylor followed behind her. "I'm sorry that he can't make it."
Hayley shrugged. "I'm used to him disappointing me." She said casually, climbing into her bunk to search for the ticket. When she found it, she began to back out, bumping her head on the bunk above. "Shit." She cursed, her free hand moving to cover her head while the other held the ticket out to Taylor.
"God, are you okay?" Taylor asked, a worried tone in her voice.
"Yeah, I'm good, I do that pretty much every day." Hayley said, letting both of her hands fall to her sides once Taylor had taken the ticket.
Taylor laughed softly. "So you're still a clutz then?"
"Some things never change." Hayley said, shrugging. "Now, I have one condition with that ticket. You have to come on stage with us and perform, the fans will love it."
Taylor bit her lip and thought for a moment. "Okay, but only if we can get something to eat after your concert." She said with a teasing smile.
Hayley nodded. "Cool. Sounds good." Her phone began ringing in her back pocket of her denim white jeans. She pulled it out. Zac was calling, probably wondering where she'd disappeared to.
"Okay, well I'll see you tonight then." Taylor said, sending her a warm smile.
Hayley looked up from her phone and gave Taylor a lopsided smile. "See you tonight." She said, following Taylor off of the bus.
