A year passed as Paramore finished their tour and Taylor went on her Reputation Tour. Fans were still speculating on when Taylor and Hayley would get married, and the women even got asked many times during their interviews over the course of the year.

Paramore had announced a hiatus after the end of their After Laughter tour, stating that they just needed a break and to feel like normal people for a while and thanked their fans for their continuous support. Zac, Hayley, and Taylor York still saw each other every day and hung out like they used to when they were just kids in school but there wasn't the pressure of being in the spotlight.

"Hales?" Taylor called out as she made her way into their house. She'd just gotten back from tour and was exhausted, all she wanted was to curl up in Hayley's arms and take a nap.

There was silence. Taylor frowned as she made her way into the living room. She found Hayley and Alf on the couch, sleeping with Meredith and Olivia. The book Hayley was currently reading - an old worn copy of the first Hunger Games book, read multiple times since its purchase - lay on top of her face while Alf lay on her chest and Meredith and Olivia lay by her feet.

Smiling softly, Taylor moved over to the couch and moved the book from Hayley's face, marking her spot before placing the book on the table. "Hales." She said softly, gently caressing her fiancé's cheek.

Hayley's eyes fluttered and she mumbled something Taylor couldn't make out.

"Baby." Taylor whined softly, trying to wake her fiancé, she'd really missed her while away on tour.

Hayley opened one eye and looked at Taylor, not really taking in the sight of her fiancé, before closing it again. Her arms wrapped around Alf on her chest and she mumbled something again. She reminded Taylor of a young child, refusing to wake up for school.

"Fine, I'll go take a shower without you then." Taylor said, moving away from the couch, knowing that would instantly have her fiancé sitting up.

Hayley's eyes opened and she stared up at Taylor, taking a moment to take in the view of her fiancé. "Welcome home." She whispered groggily with a sleepy smile, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Hi." Taylor whispered, moving closer and leaning down to kiss Hayley gently.

Hayley wrapped her arms around Taylor and broke the kiss after a moment, hugging the blonde close. Yes, Hayley liked her space, but in the year without Taylor, she felt lost and lonely without her. She nuzzled Taylor's neck affectionately, taking in the blonde's scent. God, she'd really missed Taylor without realising it. Hayley refused to release Taylor from the hug for what felt like hours but eventually, she dropped her arms and let Taylor pull back.

Smiling at her fiancé, Taylor stood back up. "I'm going to take a shower." She said softly before raising an eyebrow at Hayley. "Wanna join me?"

Hayley stared up at Taylor for a moment, taking in the sight of her fiancé again as though she thought she might disappear again if she took her eyes off of her, then glanced down at Alf on her chest. "I can't exactly get up." Her voice still sounded groggy from sleep.

Laughing softly, Taylor bent down to help her fiancé move Alf who remained asleep.

Hayley ran her fingers delicately through Alf's soft fur and slipped her feet out from underneath the two sleeping cats. She stood up and looked up at her fiancé. "Never leave for that long again." She demanded.

Shaking her head, Taylor pulled Hayley into her arms. "I can't make that promise, but maybe we can try and set up our next tours to be together."

Hayley nodded. "I'd like that." She said with a soft smile. "Though, I'm not sure when Paramore will be back." She admitted.
