"I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top, she's got a body like an hourglass, It's ticking like a clock, it's just a matter of time before we all run out..."
Taylor watched Hayley, Zac, and Taylor York perform on stage from the side at the first concert of their five month tour. It always amazed Taylor how much energy Hayley had when performing, she just seemed to feed off of the energy of the crowd as she ran around the stage singing and dancing. Tilting her head to the side, Taylor couldn't help but appreciate her girlfriend's outfit. It was different from her usual jeans and band tee.
Hayley wore high waisted blue shorts and a short top that said Paramore on it in blue writing on a black background, on her feet were a pair of black converse. Her hair hung loosely around her shoulders. "I think it's about time we got one of you up here." She said into her microphone.
Taylor grinned as she heard the fans go wild, they loved going up on the stage.
Hayley scanned the crowd. "Oh gosh, I should have brought my glasses." She joked into the microphone, earning a laugh from the audience. Zac and Taylor continued to play their instruments while Hayley looked around the crowd. She eventually chose a young girl, around fifteen, who was led onto the stage. "Hello, what's your name?" She held the microphone to the girl's lips.
"Maya." The teenager said.
"Hello Maya." Hayley said with a wide smile. "That's Taylor, and Zac." She introduced the guys. "And they are your band for this song. They are here for you. Do you want a microphone?" She asked.
The girl nodded shyly.
Hayley moved off to the side and took a microphone from one of the stage hands, presenting it dramatically to the young girl. "M'lady." She said, bowing in front of the girl who took the microphone. Hayley turned to the audience. "Now, I need you guys to count Maya in with me." She said into the microphone. "One, two, one two three four."
The girl began to sing into the microphone while Hayley danced around the stage behind her. Though the girl was majorly off key and a little quiet, she looked like she was having the time of her life and the crowd was cheering her on.
Pulling out her phone, Taylor recorded a video of Hayley with the fan.
"Give it up for Maya, everyone." Hayley said, taking the fan's free hand in her own and holding it up in the air. The crowd went wild. Hayley, Taylor and Zac took a photograph with her on the girl's phone and then Hayley helped the teenager off of the stage before Paramore played their closing songs of their five month long opening show: 'The Only Exception' and 'Last Hope'. After this, they said goodbye to the fans and left the stage, waving as they went.
