About six months have passed since Bakugo kidnapped you, and you've winded up going to college with him. Once you gained his trust enough, he let you go see your mother. You stayed with her a while, but you still had to text and call Bakugo to let him know you were okay.
You wanted to run. You wanted to go to the police, but you knew you couldn't. He could hurt you, or worse, hurt your mother, and Kirishima was right. Bakugo was all you had left.
So, you did as he said. You became his, and only his.
Sometimes it's nice to see the good in him and pretend like that's all that's there. You like to pretend that he's perfect and everything is okay when it can't be further from the truth. Like when he takes you out for dates, or when you sleep together and he holds you close and traces his fingers over your skin as you doze off.
You know you love that side of him. But the part of him that hurts people? That kills your friends? The possessive part, never letting you stray too far when you're at a social event, always forcing you to stay near...it's something you're still trying to forgive.
Even though dorm rooms are separated by gender, that doesn't stop Bakugo from visiting you almost every night after baseball practice or having you visit him. You practically do everything together, study, eat, sleep, even watch tv, and he has the same iCloud account as you, so he can see everything you're doing on your phone. It's pure, beautiful, and torturous.

In one of your classes, you get assigned partners. You're partnered up with a boy who's seated next to you in every class. You're pretty sure he's one of Bakugo's teammates.
He smiles at you brightly. "You're Bakugo's girlfriend, (y/n), right? I'm Shindo. It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." You plaster on a smile in return.
Shindo...You're pretty sure this is the guy Bakugo doesn't like..the one he's constantly calling a prick and douchebag. It wouldn't be good if he found out you two were partnered up for an out-of-class assignment.
So after class, you went to ask your professor to switch you. "Why, has he done something wrong?"
"No, it's just- I don't feel comfortable-"
"It's the second week into the semester, and you didn't seem to have a problem when you were sitting with him before. Just, give it a chance. Meet with him once outside of school, and if you hate it, then I'll switch partners." He tells you.
So, with no other choice, you explain the situation to Bakugo. He lets you meet with Shinso, but not without his supervision. So while you're trying to do the project, he's baring his teeth at him the whole time, hovering around you like a guard dog.
At least he's not hurting or killing him. You think to yourself, ashamed of how low the bar is for him.
Bakugo steps away to use the bathroom, leaving the two of you to talk. "Wow, he's very protective, isn't he?"
"You have no idea." You can't help but laugh. Not because it's funny, but because it's the truth. "But seriously, are you okay? You seem...tense."
"Yeah, I'm fine." Is all you manage to reply with, unable to look Shindo in the eyes, feeling his concerned gaze on you. Before he can say anything, Bakugou's back, and your conversation ends.
The last thing you need is friends. You're just going to lose them and get them hurt. It's better if you stay distant, and that's how you intend to act with Shindo as well.
But you will admit, it's nice talking to someone other than Bakugo and not constantly having to walk on eggshells, not convincing yourself that you like him. You can just...relax.
--
You don't see Shindo much after you finish your project together, not until you're at a party with Bakugo. He's off with Kirishima, while you standing by yourself, wondering if you should grab another beer or play it safe.
He walks over to you, throwing his arms around you and pulling you into a hug. His breath reeks of beer. "Hey there girlie, how are you doing?"
Girlie. God, you hate that nickname. You panic slightly, looking over your shoulder to make sure Bakugo's not looking. When you realize you're in the clear, you slip out of his grip, pulling him away from you.
"Shindo, you're drunk..You know how Bakugo gets, so we can't talk." You tell him, shutting him down instantly.
"Listen, I know you're scared of him. I can see it in your eyes and body language. If you just talk to me, or someone, we can help you. I promise." He reassures you, putting a comforting hand on your shoulder.
You feel yourself starting to tear up as you stare at him. "I- I can't. We can't. You'll- you'll-"
He pulls you into another hug. This one is much more gentle. "Shh, Shh, it's going to be okay. I promise. I'm going to help you. We'll figure this out."
You cry against him, feeling some sort of safety and comfort for the first time in a long while. When you hear Bakugo calling out your name, you pull away. "I- uhm- I should go."
When you finally work up the courage, you sneak out of Bakugo's dorm one night and head over to Shindo's. You know you don't have much time, so you tell him what you can. He wants to go to the police, but you don't know how you can. You have no evidence, after all, besides what he said, but that won't be admissible in court.
But, there is still the box of everything he has..before you can even suggest it, Bakugo breaks the door open, and he tackles Shindo to the ground, beating him and beating him and beating him. You beg him to stop and try to pull him off of Shindo, but he doesn't listen.
It's when you watch Bakugo beat that poor innocent man to death that you finally realize that you truly have no other choice. Bakugo is inevitable, inescapable. Your one and only fate.
