You refuse to let Bakugo win. You don't care about what Kirishima said. It was bullshit. This is all bullshit. He's delusional. They both are.

You don't know what's worse; to think they could kill your closest friends and all the people around you and think it was somehow justified? Or expecting you to love him after finding out all the horrible and violating things they've done?

While Kirishima didn't actually kill anyone, it wasn't like he stopped Bakugo from doing it. And he helped him cover it up. He looked you in the eye and lied to you alongside him. It's fucked up. They're both horrible.

You don't care if you have to wait a week, a month, or a year. You'll get out of here, and you'll see both of them in Jail. You know you will.

For now, though, you'll play the waiting game, and pretend to slowly yet surely fall back in love with him, despite everything he's done.

--

"I picked my college today," Bakugo tells you, wrapping his arms around you. "That's so exciting Kats! What did you pick?"

It's been three months since Bakugo took you in his basement. You're starting to lose it a bit. You miss your mom. You miss your friends. You miss being outside and being able to go and do whatever you want. But you're still sticking with it. There'll be an opening soon, you know it.

The scariest thing is how your pretending is starting to feel real. You're faking it so much that you're starting to believe it yourself. That you think you actually love Bakugo.

You don't. You'll never again. You have to remind yourself, listening intently as Bakugo explains the process of his decision-making.

"I'm glad you chose what's best for you. I'm so proud of you! We should celebrate!" You exclaim, wrapping your arms around him, leaning in to kiss him. (Halfway through the second month of your isolation, Bakugo uncuffed you. Progress!!)

He kisses you back, wrapping his hands around your waist and pulling you much too close for comfort. He gives you a familiar smirk, one that you recognize all too well. "I think of some ways we can 'celebrate.'"

Oh god, you're really doing this? Fuck it. Sex will make a bigger emotional connection between you two, which means he'll trust you more, which means a better chance of escaping.

--

You lay beside him on the air mattress, panting softly, slightly blissful from your past orgasms. You hated him, but you couldn't control how he made your body feel. "That was great."

"Yeah, you're great, (y/n)." He leans in, kissing you, and pulling you close to him. You giggle softly, resting your head on his chest, playing with the chain around his neck.

"Listen, I'm sorry about everything. About keeping you down here. I know it's rough, but I'll get you out of here soon, I promise. I just, I need to know I can trust you." He tells you, gazing at you with a serious look in his eye.

Your heart's pounding in your chest at that..at the thought of freedom being so close, yet so far. You pray that Bakugo can't feel your racing heart. You nod, swallowing the lump in your throat, locking eyes with him. "I understand. Can I go use the bathroom?"

When you step out of the bathroom, you're surprised by Bakugo's mother. It's the first time you've seen her in months. It's the first time you've seen anyone, besides Kirishima and Bakugo. You think you might cry.

You wanted more than anything to tell her, but you doubted she would believe you. She's his mother. She loves him, just like Kirishima does, and look where that's gotten you.

"(Y/n), I didn't realize you were here." Mitski remarks. This is much more overwhelming than you can expect. You're starting to break out into a cold sweat, and your hands are all shaky. "Oh really? I thought he told you."

"He didn't. But that brat never tells me anything. He's an adult. Eighteen years old and you'd think he'd learn basic communication." She rolls her eyes, with a frown. You laugh nervously.

"Well, I better go-"

"Nonsense! We're all planning to have dinner together to celebrate that little shit on his commitment. You should join us. Not to mention it feels like forever since I saw you. I want to catch up, and make sure my son is treating you right." She tells you. So, you guess you're having dinner.

--

Another two weeks pass since the dinner, and Bakugo trusted you a lot more easily. You did go out in public with his family after all, and you didn't escape, despite having plenty of opportunities. You also suppose the sex helped a bit too.

You've got a lot more chances. Now you just have to wait and pick the right one. You know it'll come eventually.

Then one night, Bakugo is in the bathroom, and the front door is just to your right. You know if you take your chance, you'll make it. He's probably faster than you..but he's also a lot bigger than you...so maybe you can outrun him..

The toilet flushes down the hall, and finally, you don't think, you just do. You quietly run down the stairs, before reaching the door. It squeals loudly as it opens, and you hear Bakugo call out to you.

Shit. You slam the door shut, and you take off, sprinting down the block. Bakugo's right on your tail. You scream out for help, but he manages to tackle you into an alleyway. You hiss at the feeling of your body hitting the concrete, skinning your knees.

He pins you down, one hand on your throat, the other covering your mouth and trying to keep you quiet. "Shut up. How could you do this to me, (y/n)? I thought I could trust you. I thought you actually loved me. Why?"

"Let me go! Let me go!" You scream, but you're from his hand. You're getting all lightheaded as he pushes down hard on your throat, making it hard to breathe. You scratch and punch at him, kicking and trying to get him off of you, but he's too strong.

Your hand feels around for something to help, and you grab a brick, smacking it across his head and knocking him out. You cough and gasp for air, finally being able to breathe.

You get up and start running again, searching for someone, anyone to help. You run and you run, disoriented and tired from everything. All you can think about is everything you've lost..everyone you've lost..and the chance to get it all back. To get your life back. You collapse, but thankfully you fall right into a cop's arms.

"You alright, Miss?"

This is it. After everything you went through, everything he did...You're finally free. You're finally safe.
