Disclaimer: I want to reiterate that this story will have a SasuHina ending. This chapter is a little dark and points in a direction where that isn't the truth.

There is a happy ending to this story, so please stick with it.

Thanks!

Enjoy!

-Hinata's POV-

The moment we returned to my room at the hotel, I kicked off my shoes and took the tall bottle of tequila from Toneri, who stood near the door with an amused expression. I rolled my eyes at him as I used one of the disposable cups the hotel room offered and poured myself a drink. The white-haired man snickered as he removed his shoes more calmly.

I glanced at the bag. It had a few mixers, but when I glanced at Toneri again, I decided not to bother. Sitting at the small dining table, I took a large drink, wincing slightly at the burn in my throat when I swallowed.

"I've gotta admit. I didn't take you for the drinking type."

Wordlessly, I sipped my drink, watched him grab some clothing from his suitcase, and disappear into the bathroom. The moment the door shut, I sat straighter and stared at the table wide-eyed.

You can do this, Hinata. Just keep drinking, and maybe you'll black out. Then you won't even remember anything! Nodding to myself, I eagerly tossed back the rest of my drink and poured another glass.

Toneri reappeared maybe ten minutes later, appearing to have taken a quick shower. He laughed as he approached, "Pour one for me, will you? I need to be quick about it to catch up."

Mumbling half-drunkenly, I grabbed another glass and did as he asked, "You'll be lucky if I don't spit in it, asshole."

He fell heavily into the other chair at the small table. A towel was around his shoulders that he was using to dry one side of his hair. He had on some black sweatpants but didn't bother with a shirt.

Icy blue eyes narrowed as his grin widened further, "I'll still drink it if you do."

The two glasses of straight liquor began to hit me quickly, giving me the courage to bite back at him, "If you think I'm gonna panic because you don't have a shirt on, you're wrong. I don't even like you a little." Glaring angrily, I slid his glass over to him and returned to sipping mine.

"You look so cute when you're mad, Hinata," Toneri mused before surprising me by downing the entire glass in one go.

When he sat it down, he gestured for me to refill it, appearing unaffected by the liquor's burn, "Come on, then. I said I was gonna catch up, didn't I?"

Only becoming grumpier, I poured the tequila and watched as he took an average drink this time. Then the white-haired man leaned an elbow on the table and rested his chin on his fist, "So, tell me about my new fiance." I simply took another drink, eyes narrowed as I tried to emote my dislike for him.

The man seemed to expect this and took another sip, "I suppose you want to get right to it, then? Okay-" "What do you want to know?" I cut him off.

It's going to take more than two glasses for me to be drunk enough to not remember whatever happens tonight. He watched as I poured myself a third glass, eyes following my movements carefully, "Is tequila your favorite type of alcohol?"

Shaking my head, I muttered, "It's my least favorite. I wouldn't want to ruin something I like with a memory of you."

Rather than get angry or annoyed, Toneri chuckled, "So you like darker liquors, then? Interesting. What else is there?" He paused to take a drink, and I mirrored the act.
