Chapter 8: The Light In The Darkness

"Ah, Harry. Have you met Grindelwald?"

Grindelwald. Why does that ring a bell. That figure... That stature...

"Hello, Harry. Nice to meet you."
They laugh as Harry struggles to get up. That voice... That laugh...

"You!" you jump out of the shadows."Grindelwald! I know who you are! I will get my revenge!"

"This imbecile half-blood does not know what he's talking about. Grindelwald, why don't you tell him to stop speaking all this nonsense and teach him a lesson."

"Stupefy!"

Grindelwald gets hit by Harry's spell and Voldemort takes his plan of action. You jump in front of Harry and block the spell, causing a battle to start between the four of you. You exchange spells with Grindelwald as he gets up and Harry and Voldemort have their own fight.

No more holding back now. You tell yourself.

You let out all that you can throw at him and he dodges, blocking some and making them bounce off, causing them to hit other targets.

"Stupefy! Confringo! Expelliarmus! Bombarda!" you cast in quick succession, taking it all out on him.

"You heard about the Wand, yes?"

"Where is it?"

"I got it while you were away, child."

"What did you do with it?!?!"

He laughs.

"The Dark Lord himself has it at this moment."

You aim your wand towards Voldemort.

"Expelliarmus!"

He blocks it and Grindelwald attacks. Harry counters the spell and they clash as Voldemort joins in. They push Harry's spell back but you support him and now you're stuck in a bad situation. The spells are clashing and there's no way you could direct it into a different target. You move next to Harry.

"What now, Harry?"

On my count of three, stop the casting and jump out of the way."

You nod as Athena lands on your shoulder.

"Harry! I have a letter!"

"Who cares about it now?"

"You don't understand. I sent a letter to the person who gave Hagrid Aragog. I asked for support and here's his reply. Buy me some time when I get out the way."

He nods.

"1..."

Here we go.

"2..."

Now's the chance to end this.

"3!"

You stop casting and jump out of the way. The spells from Grindelwald and Voldemort pass by, hitting the stone walls of the front doors of the school, making it crack up and crumble, falling down to the ground behind you.

"Athena! Go!"

Athena swoops through the air and slashes at Grindelwald's and Voldemort's faces alike. You head back into the school and hide, reading the note. It says:

"Dear student,

I'll be coming to the school in just a few moments. As of now, I have other businesses to attend to. By the time this letter reaches you, I'll probably be done and already on my way there. I'll meet you in the courtyard.

Signed,
Newton Scamander"

The courtyard! He's gonna arrive in the courtyard! Oh no! You peek around the corner. He's gonna arrive any moment and they're still fighting!

Just as he said, Newton apparates on site, wand at the ready. You go out and counter a spell heading straight for Newt.

"Scamander! What are you doing here?"

"Grindelwald! You're supposed to be locked up in Azkaban!"

"Athena! Help Harry!"

The owl heads for Voldemort but he just swats her away.

"You! You're the student who asked for help?" Newt asks.

"Yes! Watch out!"

He dodges a spell from Voldemort as Harry is being kept at bay by Grindelwald. Newt opens his suitcase that he's been carrying around and out comes a whole zoo of fantastic beasts. Grindelwald and Voldemort start to apparate as you and Harry call on your brooms and Newt rides on a thestral he owns. The Dark Lord and his companion escape and the three of you chase after. High above the school into the streets of New York. Cars zoom by but nobody seems to notice the happenings around them. They fly up and you follow straight into the clouds.

*CRACK*

Thunder and lightning starts to develop in the clouds and water droplets form on your glasses.

"We need to get higher or else that lightning will hit someone!"

You turn to look at Newt and he nods. You head up and out of the clouds and the two Death Eaters are still ahead. Their faces looking back at you and they start sending spells again. You return the favor and attack as well.

"Newt! Go for Grindelwald! Me and Harry will take on Voldemort!"

"You are no match for us!" Voldemort shouts.

"You will die!" Grindelwald says.

The two of them split up with Voldemort turning left and Grindelwald going down under the storm clouds.

"Newt!" Harry calls.

"I'm working on it!" Newt replies.

He dives down and follows Grindelwald and you and Harry turn left.

"You two are the most obnoxious people I've ever met. Harry Potter! The boy who lived! Came to die but is still alive until now! Impossible!" he points his wand at Harry, but Harry blocks the spell.

"And you! I could've already killed him if you weren't here!" he points his wand at you and you dodge the spell.

He changes routes and he rendezvous with Grindelwald.
