Chapter 10: Time Travel Trouble

"Check your pockets!"

"It evaporated! What do you mean check my pockets?"

*SHWOOM*

A spell passes by in front of you. You look back return a spell.

"I have no patience, Potter!" Voldemort says.

"Well I do! Deal with it!" Harry replies.

You rummage through your pockets and feel the coin back inside it.

"But how? It disintegrated!"

"Correction: it was there all along."

"Wait what?"

"Just think of it as a magic trick." he winks.

"Everything we do is a magic trick, Newt! But who cares, I'm flipping it."

You take the coin out and flip it into the air. In a matter of seconds, the opaleye reappears as if it was formed midair.

"Isn't it supposed to come out of your suitcase?"

"It was already out in the first place so why would it return?"

"Good point."

It flies over the group, casting a huge shadow that makes Voldemort and Grindelwald seem to be able to camouflage if only the sun wasn't high in the sky and they didn't have such pale skin. The opaleye starts breathing fire at them and they're forced to block.

"Can we enter the suitcase, Newt?" you ask

"I like your idea but we need time and my opaleye might die." he replies.

"We'll keep them distracted. Get your opaleye inside. We just needed a distract anyways and it didn't really work."

He nods and whistles. The opaleye enters the suitcase as Voldemort and Grindelwald hurl tons of spells at you. One after the other, you block and counter.

"Harry! You're next!"

He moves towards the thestral and jumps in.

"Accio broom!" you hear him say.

It follows after and disappears into the luggage.

"Avada Kedavra!"

You block the spell.

"You kill too much, don't u think, mate?" Newt asks, sarcastically.

You jump into the suitcase and get transported into a place of wonder and magizoology. All those creatures that exited the suitcase earlier in the courtyard are all back inside! The billywigs, the opaleye, the zouwu. He has a whole aquatic section and forest area! The thestral flies in but Newt is nowhere to be found.

"Newt? Are we ok out there?"

"I'm coming! I'm just falling while they're attempting to murder me."

He drops in and the suitcase closes behind him.

"Prepare for impact!"

"Where exactly are we landing?"

"Trees. Lots of trees. Voldemort and Grindelwald gave in and went directly to Hogwarts instead. We need to get there as fast as we can." Newt informs you.

"How do you propose we do that?"

Over here. You hear a voice say from afar.

"What's faster than apparition?" Harry asks.

"Do you guys hear that?" you say.

"Time-turners! Does anyone have a time-turner on them?"

This way! That voice says again.

Harry pulls out a glowing, gold hourglass out of his pocket.

"Wait guys, do you hear the whispering?"

"What whispering?"

"So it's just me then?"

"Just give me the time turner."

"Here. Got this from Hermione."

"Alright everyone hold on to Harry." you say.

We're trying to help you! Don't use the time turner! The voice begs.

"Bring us back an hour after I appeared."

Harry spins the hourglass once and it makes a clicking sound.

"All set. Here we go."

"Oh, if you don't mind, could you please whole the floor. I might leave my suitcase behind."

You crouch down and hold the suitcase floor as the rings of the time-turner turn back time.

"Wait!"

*DING*

Newt opens the suitcase and you leave, seeing that you're still in the forest but it's raining, like it was an hour before when Voldemort casted a spell in the clouds.

"Well looks like everything's back to where it was before. Let's head back to Hogwarts, shall we?"

"You honestly didn't hear the whispers?"

"We told you, we didn't."

"I felt a gust of wind if that was part of what you experienced." Harry says.

"No, I don't recall any wind." you say.

"I have wind in my suitcase for the beasts. Maybe that's what you felt. Anyways, what I do recall is that we're trying to get our past selves out of our situation right now."

"Right! To Hogwarts!"

"Are we still going to use broomsticks?"

"Yes. They'll know we've used magic."

You fly your way back to the school.

"I've always wondered why Death Eaters travel so slow in apparition."

"Professor Snape told me a reason before. He said it looks cool."

"That has to be a joke."

"Can we just look for what we need?"

"What is it that we need?"

"Time. We need time."

"We just traveled back in it, why need more?"

"I mean we need to bide our time without being seen. We're not supposed to be here. We need to hide until Voldemort and Grindelwald get back here."

"Someone's coming!"

The three of you hide behind some rubble and out comes Ame with professor McGonagal.

"Oh, where could those two be?" professor McGonagall asks Ame.

"I don't know. They must've moved somewhere else."

"Highly unlikely."

You peek your head over the rubble just as Ame as looking around.

"Over here, professor!" Ame spots you.

"We need to get out of here! Right now! We could mess with the timeline!" Harry whispers to you.

You leave just as Ame jumps over the rubble.

"Hey! Where are you going????"
