Y/N PoV

I stood beside Rory and couldn't help but smile slightly at the sight of something from my own world as a tear rolled down my cheek. Rory just squatted as she watched the approaching people with a smile on her face. After a moment she stood up and began walking forward to the odd assortment of wagons and military vehicles. I followed a few steps behind.

Rory: Where do you come from? Where are you going?

As I watched her approach and about to tell her that these are people from my world, the back of the first transport vehicle opens, and a couple kids run out shouting in happiness as they see Rory. The kids rush up calling Rory Oracle. Rory smiles kindly at the kids.

Rory: Where did you come from?

Kid1: From Coda Village.

A few of the adults from the village had made their way up and knelt before Rory as an elderly lady spoke.

Elder: We fled from the village. There was a fire dragon. We had to run.

Y/N: Well at least we know they aren't rumors anymore.

The man in the passenger seat of the Humvee said something but I didn't hear it when Rory turns her head to him, and he seems surprised. I thought about saying something, but I decided to let things play out and only intervene if I believed she would attempt to harm them. Rory then walks up to the passenger door before turning to the kids.

Rory: Who are these strange people?

Kid: they saved us. They're good people.

Rory: So, you aren't being forced out of your village.

Kid: Nope.

Rory: How does this move?

Y/N: Its one of the vehicles I told you about before.

Rory turns to look at me with a bit of a pout

Rory: I could tell that much, but I still don't understand it.

Kid: I don't know either. But it's a way comfier ride than our carts.

Rory gets a grin as she hears this.

Rory: A comfy ride, huh?

She licks her lips in a way that I just got used to as I traveled with her but I noticed the soldier get a worried and confused look and I couldn't help but to laugh a little.

Rory: I'd like to see how it feels to ride it, too.

Itami: Hello, how are you?

I walked forward and smiled as I spoke to him in Japanese.

Y/N: You're going to have to work on that.

Those in the vehicle all seemed surprised when a female soldier with black hair and steel blue eyes gets out and comes over to me.

Kurokawa: You spoke Japanese!?

Y/N: Yes, although I'm an American. I was in Ginza when the attack happened.

The driver's eyes widened as he points to me in shock.

Kurata: I knew you looked familiar. Your name is Y/N L/N, isn't it?

I was startled that he knew my name, let alone that it belonged to me. Kurokawa studies my face a moment before she seemed to realize the same thing.
