CHAPTER SEVENTEEN:

"Settle down, everyone! Discussion is happening over lunch!"

Luka Couffaine, along with his friends from Collège Françoise Dupont, were buzzing with excitement as they gathered in their usual spot.

The air was filled with anticipation and whispers of the upcoming music fest, an event that showcased the talents of the students in various musical performances.

This year, their class had been assigned the daunting task of creating and performing a musical as their final performance task.

And what's even great— is that they get to team up with (Y/N)'s class.

He glanced around the room, catching the eyes of his friends, Marinette, Adrien, and Alya. They were all equally excited, exchanging whispers and brainstorming ideas for the musical

Luka, a talented musician with a heart full of passion, had been dreaming of this moment. He had hoped to take center stage, performing alongside (Y/N), as the main protagonists.

"Luka? Earth to Lukaaa~" Someone called out from a distance.

He couldn't help but imagine the magical moments they would share on the stage, their voices blending together in perfect harmony.

Luka wasn't even sure if (Y/N) could sing. Nonetheless, the thought of her on stage with him, creating a melodic scene for everyone to enjoy— It almost sounded too good to be true.

He had even rehearsed imaginary scenes in his mind, hoping that his dreams would soon become reality.

"Luka!" Luka heard a voice holler out his name.

The musician was quickly snapped back to reality, and there his gaze was met with familiar (E/C) pools that he fell prey for.

(Y/N)'s face was undoubtedly close, too close. Her aura felt so close that Luka's neck started heating up from the sudden closeness.

"(Y/N)? Is something w-wrong?" Luka immediately cursed under his breath for stuttering, hoping that (Y/N) didn't catch up on it.

Surprisingly, even with their closeness, (Y/N) didn't seem to notice. "You've been spacing out since earlier. What's up?"

Luka only now recognized his surroundings. Beside him sat his sister, Juleka Couffaine, and they were surrounded by close friends and classmates.

It seems as though they were discussing about the upcoming festival, but then halted to check if he was still properly functioning.

"It's nothing!" Luka quickly shakes his head dismissively, "I was listening."

"If you feel sick, Luka— Please don't overwork yourself." The teacher, Ms. Bustier smiles at Luka.

Luka quickly turned back to his fantasies, cherishing every fabricated yet sweet scenarios he's created for him and (Y/N).

It's as though Luka has already decided of the pairings and the parts for each student, and he was certain that (Y/N) was meant to perform alongside him.

Ms. Bustier entered the classroom, hushing the excited chatter. "Class, settle down," she called out. "As you all know, our class has been chosen to perform a musical for the music fest. It's going to be a grand event, and we need everyone's participation to make it a success."

The class erupted in cheers, their enthusiasm filling the air. Luka couldn't help but feel a flutter of nerves mixed with excitement.

The teacher began to explain the process of auditioning and casting. Each student would have a chance to showcase their talents, and the roles would be assigned based on their performance and suitability.
