Inspo: Sad Song (WTK), Foolish One (TS), Like I'm Gonna Lose You (MT)

。*+.*.。Cécile。*゚+.*.。

I've been watching two of my friends for a long, long time now. Their names are Sara and Hugo.

It all started when Sara came into the school mid-January. She transferred schools mid-school year due to coming all the way from Barcelona, and she's been my very best friend ever since.

As for Hugo, he's been a friend of mine ever since we were in the same classroom at 11, as well as Aaron. But this isn't me and Aaron's story.

This is the story of two heroes.

And in this story, I am the Celestine.

~*~*~*~*~*~

I noticed Sara and Hugo's mutual interest in each other the first day. Sara wouldn't stop stealing glances at him. Hugo would mention her a lot. They would figure stuff out about each other little by little.

Thanks to me.

I'd say to Hugo whenever we're together, "Oh, this is Sara's favorite color!" When looking at a book. I'd tell Sara, "Did you know Hugo loves strawberries?" Whenever we ate some at her house.

I'm essentially the match that initiated the fire.

They showed interest in each other. They picked up my little signs, but never on my intention. On Valentine's day I left the two of them to work on the poem together, knowing Hugo has the right words to phrase and Sara has the right ideas of what to say.

I admit, some things I've done would also benefit me, for example this. I got to be with Aaron, too. But always with my best friend in mind.

I sometimes would say to Sara at sleepovers, pick someone from our class who you'd be up against the wall with. Hugo. With every different scenario, it was always Hugo. Never Paul.

A few times, I went up to Hugo as we left the building and ask him the same thing. He'd be skeptical, but eventually admit. The answer is pretty obvious, isn't it?

Me and Aaron went over to pick out a suit jacket the day we all met up, leaving the two of them alone. Later Sara told me the whole conversation, and I said that Hugo definitely liked her, because he wanted her to meet his family.

She'd blush and turn her head away, giggling. I would laugh too, but would never stop saying it.

When she said she was struggling with physics, it was like a god-sent opportunity. Hugo's favorite subject is physics, and to tell the truth, I think it was fate telling me it's meant to be. All I had to do was pull a few strings and then they were hanging out three times a week together.

When all of that seemed to be enough, I put two and two together and figured out the identities of Chat Noire and Mister Bug. Of course, I'll never tell a soul, but don't ask me how I found out.

When Sara would fall apart it was whenever she was all alone, taking the world on her shoulders. I'd confess about it to Hugo, giving him that special feeling of protection. He gave Sara a hug the next day and told her he'd always be there for her, though I don't think either of them have mentioned that yet, have they?

Things crumbled a bit around the middle of this story. They both kissed someone else, both saw the other, and neither knew it wasn't real. It was never real.

Sara pulled away from Paul.

Hugo pulled away from Léa.

"Foolish ones!" I'd say to Aaron, laughing about the way they take the long way down and dance around each other. But it's not our secret to tell.

Because when Sara's head is on Hugo's shoulder at meetups, I know they'll eventually come around. And when we're older we will laugh about all of this.

Their confessions would never come if I wasn't involved.

But now she's sliding down the wall with her head in her hands, because he kissed another girl.

And the voices in his head are telling him why she picked the other boy.

But the day will come for their confessions of love.

But him and her, they're like fireworks and symphonies exploding in the sky, and I see it, they're alive with each other and mend their hearts together. Without each other they feel broken, like they've got no hand to hold, Torn like a sail in a storm. With him, she's fallen. It's like she's leaving her past on silhouettes upon the wall. With her, he's a beautiful mess, and they stand hand in hand with all their fears up on the edge.

They're each other's favorite part of themselves, the only harmony they're willing to hear. When they're with each other it's as if they've got nothing to fear.

They find themselves dreaming, like a scene from a movie that every broken heart knows... They walk on moonlight and pull each other close, except it's not real and it's all alone. They don't see that they're not promised tomorrow, and love each other as if there's no more time. Make the most of the minutes. Dance together on a moonlit dance floor, as if they're saying goodbye.

And where does this all bring me?

There's a party tonight. Baby, let the games begin.
