Filler episode

After a lot of heavy convincing and a promise of your family's safety, you finally join the spider society, but under a few conditions.

"You promise nothing will happen if I do this in different dimensions?" You ask and Miguel nods "And you can't fuck around in my dimension, No missions no nothin" Miguel nods

You take a deep breath in and nod. You're officially in.

You went back to your dimension and informed your family of everything. Once they wrapped their heads around all of it and you showed them proof that you weren't actually suffering from a mental illness and they reluctantly let you go. Only asking for you to call and to be safe.

Now after awhile you found it to be really fun, you didn't have any real responsibilities and you made a few friends, including the boy you had first met who's name was Hobie. Eventually you and Miguel sort of got on good terms but he still annoyed you.

Today you had a relatively easy mission. An anomaly has popped up in dimension 19-33 and you, Hobie and spider Noir (who's dimension this was) were sent to investigate it discreetly.

« Apparently it's a villain from a different dimension, his name is the green goblin and he's hard to miss » you swing up onto a building and get a view of the city « and why's that? » he asks
« You see how everything here is in black and white? Man's green. »
«Is that why they making us wear all this? » Hobie gestures dramatically at his outfit which is fully black and white, which doesn't change much cause he changes colours every few seconds anyway

« You my eccentric friend won't get far without being noticed » Noir places a hand on Hobies shoulder « I suggest you stick to rooftops while me and (y/n) search the streets, try and find out if anyone's seen anything » Hobie makes a face at this and looks over to you as if to ask for you to help him out. « He's right, you stick out like a sore thumb » He rolls his eyes at this and shrugs « Right I'm doing it but not cause you lot told me to » he puts one hand in his pocket and swings to the nearest building to scope out the area but you knew he was really going to fall asleep or something

You and Noir jump down and he starts making his way in and out of crowds, you try and keep up but he's more used to these streets then you are so you end up getting lost

Shit

You think as you figure no harm in asking people if they'd seen anything. You tap an old woman on the shoulder and ask but she's no help, you ask a man and the same from him.

So he hasn't been in this area yet,

You walk through the crowds of people looking for a town square where it's more likely that he'd attack. You walk around just admiring everything, it's cool to see how America worked in the 30's, the outfits, The way people spoke, it all had changed so much.
You're snapped out of your daydream when you see Hobie waving at you from a roof.

Real discreet

You call for him to come down to you and he does, you grab his arm and bring him into an alley where you can't be seen. «You looked like an idiot just waving at me like that » you laugh and so does he « not discreet enough for you? »
« you were basically a walking advertisement for our prescience » you fold your arms
« You don't know me if you think that was bad» he smirks and you roll your eyes
« you were just trying to be annoying »
« No I was not following orders cause orders imply someone has power over another person and no one has power over anyone cause that's how we get shit like capitalism »
« so you're a virgin is what I'm hearing »  he does a dramatic gasp and puts his hand over his heart but you laugh
« I'm not saying your wrong just that you don't seem fun at parties » you giggle
« Listen I'm only trying to spread the truth, you're just a sheep you are » he pocks fun at you in a lighthearted way.
« you sound like the old man down the road who always wore a tin foil hat and had an alien shrine in his basement »
« Was that man as good looking as I am? Cause that might of just been me » he leans in and you laugh
« You are so full of yourself it's astonishing »
« I'm a realist love that's all »
« What happened to hating narcissists who call themselves heroes? This feels oddly similar»
« I don't believe in consistency » he puts his hand on the wall you're leaning against
« You're consistent in the fact you hate consistency » you remarks and he thinks for a second

Just then two children run through the crowd sobbing and screaming. Everyone made way for them and you run over and ask what happened and they confirm your suspicions when they mention a funny looking flying man was going down Main Street.

You two start running towards where the kids came from and you calI Miguel on your watch. « Anomaly found, I'm gonna try and get him you guys come in when you can. » you say into your watch and you stop running once you've reached the street, you look down both ways and see nothing.

Where did he go?

You ask yourself and you use a web to jump up onto a house. You look out and don't see him, but Hobie points out green flames coming from over near what looks like docks. You both run across the rooftops, jumping from balcony to balcony with your feet starting to hurt the more you run.

You get to the source of the flames and see Noir already fighting with the goblin « what took you so long? » he asks mid air « that was me mate » Hobie replies as he jumps into action.

You do the same as you shoot a web at the goblins machine he uses to fly and jump onto a boat. You're webs unravel as you get farther away from the creature and as you climb higher up the boat. You wait till he's lower then you and shoot another web at an opposing boat.

You fly over top of the goblin and pull on the web that's attached to his machine and it tips. The goblin falls off and Hobie runs over and around him, shooting webs along with Noir to trap him.

The situation is defused and from where you are you can see Noir calling for back up.

You take the opportunity and pull the flying machine close to you and get on it. It's quite easy to control, it has about the same mechanics as a skateboard so you get the hang off it easily.

« Hobie! A new villain enters the arena! » you joke and laugh menacingly pretending to be a villain, he laughs along a web the underside of it.

You get scared he's gonna tip it but he ends up just staying under there and shouting « go on then take me for a ride! » you laugh and fly up with the device over the water, you can't see Hobie but you can hear him laughing and assume he's having a good time. You see a portal open up and spin back around, planning to fly through it with Hobie. « I'm just a taxi am I? » you yell and he gives a loud yep in response.

You get low enough that Hobie isn't touching the ground but you can still get through the portal so you make a B line for it.

But just as you reach it you see someone take a step out of it but you're too close to turn left or right so you unfortunately opt for turning 90 degrees upward. You save yourself but Hobie crashes into the person sending both of them back into the portal.

Before you can think gravity does what gravity does, and no human who inevitably forgets she can stick to shit can hold on at a 90 degree turn upwards. You fall onto your back with a loud thud and narrowly move out the way in time so the machine doesn't crash onto your face. And of course, a very angry Miguel comes through the portal.

« Sup Mimi » you chastise him and he rolls his eyes
« Get that thing to Margo, now. » he replies angrily

« we tried that mate but you lot have to clear the way, heavy machinery and all » Miguel doesn't reply and simply walks over to Noir so you push the massive machine through the portal.

Hobies standing against a wall as you push through the heavy device. « Any help? » A particularly buff Spider-Man comes over and lifts it up with ease before leaving after you tell him it's for Margo.

You look over at Hobie and ask him if he's mad « I just got to rugby tackle Miguel to the ground and didn't have to take the blame for it, im over the moon »

You both laugh and walk off talking about how cool the device is.
