CHAPTER 9

Nathan's POV

When I got out of his room, I sprinted outside, not bothering to even stop and listen to what Christopher has to say.

"OUCH!!!" 

"I'm so sorry I-------" I was cut off when I looked down to see who it was that I bumped into.

"Nate?" It was Naira.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?" She asked me as I helped her to stand up.

"Kevin and I had a little misunderstanding." I said and slightly looked away. For some reason, I don't want her to see my expression as I kinda sound petty while I replied.

"Oh....What will you do now?" My eyes widened and I immediately faced her after hearing her question.

Is that all she wants to say? I thought she'll get mad and tell me to ask for forgiveness?

"I guess I'll talk to him later. For now, I just want to let off some steam." She smiled at my answer then patted my shoulder.

"Delaying it would only make things worst, idiot." She said and grabbed hold of my arm then dragged me back. I was protesting all the way there but she didn't even bother to let go of me.

We entered Kevin's room only to find him staring at the window. Naira sighed and let go of me.

"Hey Kev?" She asked, trying to catch attention.

"Hmmm" he lazily hummed.

Naira rolled her eyes then looked at me. I equaled her stare but then she suddenly elbowed me and pushed me towards Kevin. Gladly, I managed to balance myself and not bumped into him.

I scratched the back of my nape as I debated on what to say. Naira glared at me and gestured to slit my throat when I looked at her. I swallowed the lump that's beggining to form in my throat.

Here goes nothing...

"I...I'm sorry for what happened earlier."

He flinched when he heard me, I bit my lip and looked away.

"There's no need to say sorry, Nate...I'm the one who's at fault here." he said which made me look at him.

"Great! Now you two are friends again!" Naira happily exclaimed like a child. Kevin and I looked at each other and smirked.

"Correction...Bestfriends" We said in unison.

Naira's face turned sour. "Ew, you disgust me."

"Hahahaha!!!" I laughed at her reaction.

Christopher opened the door and clapped his hands.

"What's your hobby today?" He asked then smirked mockingly at us.

"Huh?" What's with him?

"Breaking your bones." Kevin threatened ehich made Christopher step back.

"That's not a good joke." he said.

"Hahahahaha!!!!!" Naira and I laughed at him as his back finally hit the door.

Suddenly, the four of us floated in the air and was thrown outside.

"Ahhhhh!!!!!" We screamed as we got thrown out.

We immediately took out our weapons after we fixed ourselves.

"Are you okay?" Christopher asked.

"Naira!!! Naira!!!" I heard somebody calling her, so we turned and saw Eun and Sachi.

"Sachi.....Eun." Naira said looking down

"Where's Kevin?" When she said that we all looked down

"What happened? Where is he?" Sachi continued to ask.

"We were throne outside for some reason, but when I looked around, it was only the three of us." I said.

"Who could've done this?" Eun asked

"His father." Christopher immediately replied. I looked at him.

"What does he want from his son, now? Don't tell me he's going to..." I trailed off, not wanting to finish what I want to say.

"We don't know, but if there's one thing we can do, we need to go to his house." Sachi said.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Naira.

We entered the house and followed what the maids instructed. We stayed in the living room and waited for the master of the house to appear.

"How many minutes do you think we should wait here?" Eun whispered to Christopher who's sitting beside her.

"I don't know." Christopher whispered as well.

"It's weird that they immediately welcomed us in without asking for anything else." Naira whispered while me and Sachi stayed silent.

Minutes later the maids formed a line from left and right and a path way in the center so we stood up. I couldn't help but hold the hilt of my dagger that's currently in my coat's pocket.

"Well, if it isn't Chris and Nate!" The voice said and clapped his hands while I can hear footsteps walking towards us.

"Where is Kevin?!" Sachi shouted.

"I know you three, especially you." He pointed Naira. I also looked at her in contusion.

"You were the girl who almost killed me" when he said that Naira smirked.

"Want me to do it again?" she mocked.

"Okay let's go straight to the point...give us back Kevin." Christopher said

"Guards!!!" I thought he shouted for the gaurds to send us out but instead they ran to get something or maybe someone.

"LET ME GO!!! I CAN WALK BY MYSELF!!!" I heard Kevin shouting then suddenly he appeared, but the guards were holding his hands.

"Kevin!!!" We called in unsion. He looked at out direction with complete horror written all over his face.

"Do you perhaps know them, Krista?" Uncle Tyler Yhul said and a girl suddenly appeared beside him.

Krista? Isn't she….

"No, uncle. It's my first time seeing them."

"Who are you?" Eun asked

"Me?...Well I'm Krista Lee, Kevin's fiancee." I was right!

"WHAT!!!" 

"That's not true!" Kevin said as he struggled to get away from the men holding him.

I threw my dagger at their direction which distracted them. Kevin managed to break free in that instant and he immediately ran to our side. 

"Kevin!" she slurred his name which is so ear breaking.

"Come back here son!!!" His father shouted

"Son? Pathetic, I don't even call you father." Kevin said and faced us.

"Let's go!" He said and smiled at Sachi.

Suddenly, an arrow flew past him so we turned around to defend ourselves. Krista's already holding a bow and an arrow as shr aimed at us, her tears starting to fall.

"You can't run away from me again!!!" She shouted.

"What do you say we finish the hunt now?" Naira said and smirked.

"Agreed!!!" We said and attacked them.

"You'll pay for this!!!" 

"Make us then" I said.
