2 minutes later.....

"You can open your eyes now"

I did what I was told and found myself outside the mansion

I looked around and gladly Collin's here...but w-where is s-she?

I looked at Yhul with questioning eyes

A sad smile is plastered on his face and based on that expression it doesn't look good

"T-Tell me...w-where i-is s-she?"

His eyes widened but then changed to expressionless

"S-She's......D-Dead"

My eyes widened and I kneel

"I'm t-too l-late. W-hy is this world so cruel?....I...I----"

Yhul suddenly hugged me

"You can cry on me. Only me. Stop showing others your weakness Yeva. Your better than that"

I had no choice but to cry on his chest. The fact that my mother's dead is killing me inside

Why didn't he told me earlier?

"I...don't know if I'll still be able to fight in this state"

He embraced me tighter

"Then use me. Make me your sword and your shield in the battlefield and I will fight in your stead"

What good did I do to deserve this. I raised my head and looked at him but instead of a emotionless face

I saw tears. It pains me to see him cry.

Kevin's POV

Sh*t! She saw that!

I directly wiped off my tears

Why am I even affected? It's not like I'm the one that's in her situation right now?

Maybe it's because I also know how it felt to be left behind?

"If you can't fight anymore because of the pain, you always have us with you and we will never leave you"

I said and cupped her face and leaned closer.....

He smirked. I can't see his face because of his black hood
