END OF THE LINE

Naira's POV

Euria glared at me and black smoke started enveloping her. When it vanished her wings before that was feathers turned into like a bat's wings

Her eyes are glowing red and she's chanting something I can't undertand

"Nai...its only 1 hour before the countdown stops and this whole arena will collapse"-Nate

"I know...b-but how do we get out of here. Clearly Euria will attack us and in her current state. She has no mercy"

He slowly stood up and placed a hand on my shoulder and leaned closer

"I cut off the telepathy between us. Clearly we can't talk to the two anymore and in addition to that. I learned about a spell that could alter their memories...though in order for it to work, you'll need this" he said and handed me a vial with some liquid in it

"W-why....they don't need alteration of memories...unless....." I looked at him and he smiled bitterly

"I'll hold her off and you'll run to the safe area and secure the points, I'll be right behind you. you've got 58 mins left.....now go!"

He said and stood infront of me.

"By the way. I'll be giving Raiyu to you"

"Idiot! Don't say that...h-he's your cat...not mine" I managed to say in between gulps to stop me from sobbing

"Silly Naira...you need to leave now"

I don't know what got into me but I ran and hugged him for the last time and decided to run away. I used my wings and fly to get to the safe zone

I've got 45 mins left

"*sob* I wish we never entered this tournament. Yeah we found Eun but then she vanished. Knowing that she's just a f*cking program sucks!!!!!....t-they shouldn't h-have died...if it weren't for my stupidity urgghhhh!!!!"

40 mins.......

I'm finally able to see the safe zone just a few meters and I'll be there

I reached it and landed safely. All my mana is drained. I sat on the tiles and placed my hand on the point counter and saw the total of all our points encoded there

I looked at my wrist where the cross is and checked if Nate is still alive. He said he'll be right behind me afterall

His name is getting blurry and it's blinking. I saw the names of our other teammates and it's all colored red

Why does it have to end like this?

Nathan's POV

"You should've escaped while you had the chance boy"-Euria

"I'm not a coward. Besides no one will be holding you off from following her"

Once I assured that Naira is out of her range. I started attacking her with all the techniques I know. I managed to cut her wings and return her to normal form but she can still move

Her hp is in the yellow zone

Now that I mention it. If the leader dies, the whole team will be disqualified.  I saw the cross on Eun's wrist earlier so why is Euria still here?

"It's because I'm the real leader"

So the tattoo on Eun was a fake. This is totally cheating. I wonder why nothing's happening yet

I looked back at her and she wasn't there anymore
