Chapter Four

Dumiretso sila sa isang restaurant about thirty minutes away from Belladona. The restaurant is cozy enough for her liking, they took their seats at agad namang lumapit ang waiter para kunin ang kanilang order. She bussied herself with the menu. Napaangat siya ng tingin ng marinig ang pagtikhim nito only to find out Nate glaring at the waiter.
"Nate? Something wrong?" Pukaw niya sa atensyon nito. He is scaring the waiter.

Agad napunta ang atensyon nito sa kanya. "Nothing, what do you want to eat?"

Binalingan niya ang waiter who blushed lightly. Bago pa siya makapag-order ay sumabat na si Nate at ito na ang nag-order para sa kanilang dalawa.
"What do you want for drinks hon?" He said stressing the last word then glared at the poor waiter, giving him a dagger look. Nate is acting really strange.

She looked at him confusedly. What is he up to? "I'll have pineapple juice. And can I have a sea food?" Baling niya sa waiter, tumango ito at agad lumayas ng maisulat ang sinabi niya.
"What was that Nate? You're scaring him."

"Can't you see? He is obviously checking you out!" He blurted.

"Don't make a fuss about it Nate. Napakababaw ginagawa mong issue." Irap niya dito, kung anu-ano na lang kasi ang napagdidiskitahan nitot eh.

"Still..."

"Let's move on okay?" She cut him of. "Let's not make it a big deal.''

He just crossed his arms and sulk like a kid. Napapailing na lang siya sa kinikilos nito. She doubt it if he's really on his late 20's 'cause the way he's acting right now make him look like a five year old kid!

Maya-maya pa ay inihain na ang kanilang pagkain. Ipinagpapasalamat na lang niya na iba na ang waiter na nagserve sa kanila.

"Nate?" She heard a sophisticated voice called his name.

Napatingin siya sa babaeng nasa harap ng table nila, she is the epitome of beauty. She look so sophisticated and everything about her screams class.

"Nadya!" Nate beamed at the beautiful girl. "Take a seat." Alok nito, pang-apat kasi na table ang inukopa nila kaya kasya pa ang kahit dalawang tao.
"By the way, Nadya this is Leian. Leian this is Nadya one of my college buddies." Pakilala nito.

Nadya smiled genuinely at her. Nakakatomboy ang ngiti nito. She looks like a sophisticated angel sent from above. She smiled awkwardly at her.

Buti pa siya may label ang pagpapakilala, samantalang ako. She blinked that thought away and bussied herself from eating.

"So Nate, I've heard you're already the CEO of Montejo Network."

"Yeah. How about you? Bigla ka na lang naglaho after graduation. Our friends tried to hunt you down but didn't succeed." Sagot naman ni Nate.

Nadya chuckled lightly. Damn! Kahit pagtawa nito ay perpektong-perpekto. Nagpatuloy ang kamustahan session nila for god knows how long, ubos na niya ang kanyang pagkain at lahat-lahat tuloy parin sa pag-uusap ang dalawa. They are so engrossed with their chitchat that Nate seem to forget that she does exist. Na nagmumukha na siyang tanga at thirdwheel. Nagsisimula na siyang mainis at mairita.

"Uhmmm. Nate?" Tawag niya dito.

"Just a second Leian." He said looking at her shortly saka muling bumalik sa usapan nila ni Nadya. "So you were saying...."

She was taken aback on what he said. What happened is like a flashback of her past. Iyong pangdideadma nito sa kanya, it makes her remember those times that her parents ignored her, like she doesn't exist. That she is the least priority. She feel so pathetic. Bago pa siya maiyak sa harapan nila ay dahan dahan siyang umalis sa harap ng mga ito. Ni hindi man lang nila namalayan ang pag-alis niya.
