I am hyperventilating, and I can't see anything. I can feel fabric on my eyes and mouth. She gagged and blindfolded me!

What has it been? Four or five years? I never thought or planned to see her face again. It was...my mother.

I haven't seen her since the accident. If my mom was here, where was my dad? I let her guide me down the steep hill. I feel cold metal against my fingertips as I feel myself to the car.

An engine revs before we take off. My mouth and my eyes are released into the darkness of the car. "Hello?" I asked into the dark.

"Cami, dear how so good to see you again." My mother's warm breath flows into my ear. "Where are we going?" I try not to freak out on her but I can't take it, "Home," I hear a deep voice join in. I lick my dry lips. "Home,?" I ask "what about Ady? Isn't she here? And Grandma?" I ask again, "Ady, is already 'home'." My mom emphasizes the word 'home'. "Grandma?" I ask once more. "Shut up about your grandmother! Just be happy we got here when we did." My dad growls.

My heart is racing, my parents have never been so evil before. They used to be the sweetest people in the world. But, I guess people change.

Tears begin to well up into my eyes. I can't help my emotions sometimes. I feel a hand swipe across my face. I could feel my mothers nails. My cheek stung. She slapped me! She's never done that!

There is a light shining at the front of the car. It's the time. Midnight?! Have we been driving this long? It can't be. It's seems shorter.

"Do you always do that?" my father's voice booms, making a slight shiver glide down my spine. "Huh?" I ask, "Do you always talk out loud like that?" He asks, looking as if her were becoming impatient. "Answer me when I talk to you!" He shouts. "Yes. I mean no, I mean I'm never sure when I do or not." I answer quickly, he grunts as he makes a sharp left turn. I find a rope to grab for support.

I begin to see a big white house come into view from the darkness. It's pretty, but it doesn't look as if my parents owned it. Nor, did it seem like the kind of house they could afford. "It's abandoned." My mother says as she unbuckles her seat belt from beside me.

Before I could step out of the car my mother tied up my arms and carefully guided me, to the entrance.

As my dad knocks on the giant doors I ask, "Can't you just unlock the doors? It is your house right?" He stares at me with a blank face. He honestly looks annoyed, I give him a small smile.

My mom rolls her eyes as she grabs a chain of keys from his jacket pocket. It only took a small twist.

Dad pushes the door wide open to reveal someone that I'd never thought I would see again...
