"This is bullshit, bullshit I tell ya!" Santana shouted.
She slammed her fists against her desk and face palmed so hard her face turned red.
"What is?" Kara asked, taking a seat on her bed.
Santana looked up and heavily sighed. "I just don't know what to do. Everything in me tells me to go speak to Quinn, then at the same time, my brain tells me not to. I don't know what to do!" Santana admitted. Tears began to well in her eyes.
Kara fell backwards on the bed and looked up at the ceiling.
"Bree told you to speak to her, right? So why not just do it? Holding it off is only going to make you second guess even more," Kara replied.
Santana was aware of this. She didn't like she was second guessing everything, but what was she to do? This whole situation was much easier said than done.
"What if she ignores me?" Santana asked.
Kara sat up and released a long, thoughtful breath. "Then you know where you stand in her life. I know it's hard, but this is literally torturing you. Get the answer, whether it be what you want to hear or not, an answer is still an answer," she replied.
"Can you get Bree to talk to Quinn? Maybe have her send her off somewhere tomorrow, that way I can meet up with her?"
Kara nodded and smiled. "Anything to help you out," she said.
Santana sighed with relief. She didn't necessarily know how her friend would go about it though, which frightened her, but she'd be lost if she didn't have some faith that she'd be able to handle it.

_____

Bree walked into her shared apartment, straight into Quinn's room where her roommate sat on her bed, going through paperwork.
"Quinn?" she said as she walked over.
The blonde haired girl looked up.
"What's up?" she asked.
"I was just going to ask if you could head out in a few minutes to grab some items from the store."
Quinn raised a auspicious eyebrow and looked her friend up and down. "You can't go?" she wondered.
"I hurt my knee pretty badly today, I really don't want to use it as much," Bree lied.
The girl faked a limp. Quinn stayed completely still as she paid attention to her friends theatrical performance.
"Okay," she agreed. "I'll head out as soon as I get this sorted, okay?"

_____

Quinn mindlessly walked down the streets. It was getting late, and so there wasn't as many people around, and so the quiet walk was calming.
But it didn't last long, unfortunately.
"Why did you do that?"
"It was a mistake-"
"But why?"
"I just wanted to fit in with the others."
"So you did what you did? How cruel can you be, Q. Seriously. We were friends, we were supposed to be there for one another."
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry isn't going to cut it."
Quinn was brought out of her thoughts when she noticed Santana standing ahead of her. Both girls locked eyes for a moment. Quinn lowered her head and tried to turn on her heel, but Santana ran after her and grabbed her arm.
"Stop," she ordered.
Quinn tightly shut her eyes, took a deep breath then turned to face Santana. A shameful look was on her face.
"Santana-"
"I'm so sorry," Santana cried.
The girls face was completely red, and tears fell from her cheeks onto the ground.
Quinn was shocked; this was the last thing she had expected to happen.
"Sorry.... Sorry for what?" she asked.
"Everything. I was harsh on you that day," she replied.
Quinn backed away from Santana, who was forced to release her grip.
"I'm the one who messed up. You did the right thing confronting the situation," she replied.
Santana wiped her tears away and sniffled.
"How did you know I was walking this way anyway? You're not supposed to- Bree!" Quinn said between gritted teeth. "Look, I'm really sorry, but I gotta go."
Santana didn't allow for her to leave though. She grabbed Quinn's hand and spun the girl around.
"Quinn, I want to rebuild what we used to have. I want our old friendship back- I want you, Q," she confessed.
Quinn felt a pounding sensation in her head. "Our friendship didn't work. You know that," she said.
Santana nodded in agreement, which took Quinn by surprise.
"You're right. We were younger back then though. We can start over.... Please." Santana's eyes grew big. "I miss what we had."
Too many thoughts were running through both of their heads. They both fell silent for a few seconds before Quinn finally responded.
"I miss what we had, too.. Just, let me think about it, please?"
Santana sadly nodded. "Thinking's better than nothing," she forced a smile.
Quinn uncomfortably smiled back then gave Santana a single nod before walking away.
Santana felt all the heavy weight be lifted off her chest and replaced with butterflies over her entire body.
'What if Quinn was lying?'
'What if she didn't get back to her?'
Slapping both her cheeks, Santana shook her head and headed off back to her dorm.

_____

Santana enviously bounced her legs up and down while she sat on her bed. Kara noticed and kneeled down in front of the anxious girl.
"You know, I'm sure everything will work out in the end," she said.
The words didn't help though.
"I think she hates me. You don't understand how she was behaving when we met up!" Santana said.
Kara nodded. "You're right, I don't. But I do know that she was probably just as nervous as you, and probably uncomfortable because she didn't expect you to talk to her."
Santana's legs settled down and she took a few calming deep breaths.
"She hates me," she said.
Kara rubbed the girls knee and stood up.
"She doesn't."
"Yes she does. I'd hate me if I were her."
"She doesn't hate you. Trust me, I know that for a fact." Kara shared a smile that gave Santana no choice but to believe her.
Scaring the two girls, Santana's phone rang. She picked it up, and immediately noticed it was an unknown number.
Santana brought the phone to her ear, her heart pounding even louder and harsher.
"Hello?" she said into the phone.
"I've made up my mind. I'd like to give our friendship another go. I can't promise it's going to be pretty, but I'll try my best," Quinn said.
Santana sighed with relief, and gave Kara a thumbs-up, who then mouthed the words 'I told you.'
"I'm just glad we can start over," Santana said with a huge grin.
"Me too. Me too."
