"Hey Lucy, I'm home!" a male voice announced.
Both Quinn and Bree looked over to the front door and smiled when they noticed Puck.
"How was your trip back at home?" Quinn asked, giving her friend a welcoming hug.
Puck breathed between his teeth and nervously laughed. "Mum's still just as crazy," he said.
"Classic parents," Bree smirked and shook her head. She gave Puck a hug too before grabbing her coat.
"I'll be back by dinner," she said before waving her friends off.
Once Bree was gone, Puck raised an eyebrow and looked to Quinn for answers.
"She and Kara are going out today," Quinn explained.
Puck made an 'O' shape with his mouth then headed into the kitchen. He looked through the fridge, then rummaged around through the cabinets.
"Where's all the food?" he asked.
Quinn leaned over the counter and watched with satisfaction.
"We've got ingredients, why not just whip something up?" she pointed out.
Puck groaned. "I was hoping it'd be quick and easy. You know, microwavable," he said.
Quinn straightened her posture and walked into the kitchen, too. She pulled supplies out from the fridge and cabinets and placed them all on the counter.
"We'll make cupcakes, then," she said._____
In the end, Quinn was the only one who ended up baking. Puck was just walking around the kitchen constantly getting in the way. He was prone to that, though. He always left the cooking and baking to girls if there wasn't anything quick he could grab to eat.
"You know, when I said we could bake, I thought you'd actually help me," Quinn grunted.
"Alright, alright," puck said and walked over to one of the bowls. "So, would pouring dry mix on you be considered helping?"
Before Quinn even had a chance to process what he'd said, Puck reached into the bowl and threw the dry mix onto Quinn. She squealed from shock and backed away from the counter.
"Puck! That isn't helping!" Quinn scolded.
Puck was about to throw more on Quinn, but an announced guest started knocking at their door.
Quinn wiped herself off while Puck frustratingly shook his head.
"Wait!" Puck called out.
Puck headed over and opened the door. "Did you forget your key, Bree? Oh, it's Berry," he said.
Rachel barged into their apartment, stomping her feet.
"I swear, I'm sick and tired of Finn. He doesn't help around the house at all! He's always just lazing around on the couch, and he says I complain over the smallest of things!" Rachel pouted.
Quinn wiped her hands on a cloth and walked over to greet the brunette.
"Rachel, you are complaining," she said.
Rachel was flabbergasted and scrunched up her eyebrows.
"You're siding with him?"
"There are no sides, Rachel. You complain, a lot, as do the rest of us." Quinn sighed. "Now go back home. At least sit down and talk with him rather than stomping out of the house."
The pure shock on Rachel's face was certainly hilarious for Puck to witness. He had to go back into the kitchen and finish everything just so he didn't burst out into laughter.
"Fine," she said.
Rachel waved the duo off and left the apartment quicker than she'd arrived.
"Well she's a delight," Puck chuckled.
"Be nice," Quinn said.
"Hmm? The girl who bullied Rachel for fun, telling me to be nice? That's new."
Quinn leaned over the counter while she watched her friend.
"We all bullied her, don't forget. Things are different now, though. And I'm glad we all grew and learned from a majority of our mistakes," Quinn said.
Puck completely ignored Quinn, and changed the subject. "Have you heard from Santana? I heard she goes to the same college as Bree and Kara."
"I heard from her," Quinn replied, keeping it simple.
"What did break up your friendship in the first place?" Puck wondered.
A whole wave of flashbacks flooded Quinn's mind. She squeezed her legs together and shifted in her position. "I don't want to talk about it," she said.
Puck was disappointed he wasn't going to hear the story, but nonetheless, he nodded. "Okay. Maybe another day," he said with hope.
"Maybe," Quinn said.
