Chapter 43: Camp Day (Day 1 Part 3)

Kurt's Point of View...

After a few minutes nang madala namin si Luna sa infirmary ay dumating naman sila Marvin, Luna's close friends. She's still unconscious for what happened, mukhang hindi agad nag process yung mga sinabi namin.

"We'll take care of her, thanks dude" sabi ni Marvin and I just nod at him saka lumabas ng infirmary. Andito sa labas si James at nag mumuni muni.

I don't know if mag sasalita ba ako after kong lumapit sa kanya, he just looked at me saka nag lakad pabalik dun sa mini base namin. Malait lang naman kase dito yun sa infirmary.

"Why did you tell her?" Tanong ni James ng makalapit ako.

"Why did you always tell white lies?" I asked him also.

"I ask first" he said.

"She's curious, and if she's curious, alam kong di niya ako, or ikaw tatantanan until she knows the truth" sagot ko and I looked at him.

"When Eli asked me who's Azriel, hindi ako agad naka sagot, and I tell her a lie, that he ran away and after he ran away, I did the same" sagot niya naman sa tanong ko.

"Why?"

"I can't tell the truth, since I can see that Mark really like Elijah" he said kaya naman nagulat ako.

"And you don't even have to hide it, I know you like Luna too" dagdag pa niya.

"Thats not my point okay" sabi ko at napangise naman siya.

"Well, I can't tell rhe truth to Eli that why I said Azriel ran away. Ayokong sakin manggaling yung totoo" he said.

"Why?" I asked again and he looked at me in confusion.

"What do you mean why? I just told you" he said saka sumandal sa puno habang pinag mamasdan yung apoy.

"Why did you leave us? After Azriel died?"

"I feel like it was all my fault. I knew Mark was in trouble yet I didn't warn any of you, I tried to take the blame for what Mark dad did. But Azriel knew my plan. He knew, kaya nag bihis Mark siya. He dressed like Mark, it was my plan to get shot but I was late. Later that day ng malaman kong wala na si Azriel, I ran away"

"After all those years?"

"Yeah, after all those years I was blaming myself, I blame myself for Azriel's death" he answered.

I feel bad for some reason.

"And I knew thats the reason why you hate me that bad, why your blood boils when you see me"

"You thought I didn't care about Azriel's death, you thought that Im a worthless friends ba nang iiwan sa ere"

"And when I came back, I saw the hatred in your eyes Kurt, when our eyes met when the day I came back, the dirty look you gave to me as if your ready to kill me in that state"

"When Mark sees me, he didn't even bother to looked at me again. Like I was a sort of a stranger he passed by everyday in a street"

"Both of you made me feel like I didn't exist, like I wasn't part of the pack before"

I feel like I'm gonna passed out too, James words keep punching me, so all of those years na nawala siya, he's just blaming himself for Azriel's death. We didn't even try to contact him after he disappeared, masyado kaming nag palamon sa kalungkutan hanggang sa lamunin na rin kami ng galit.

"But when your back in Lily looks like you have a new friend" i told him at nalangise pa siya.

"Andrie? That idot? Who cant even spell properly, you think he's my friend? For me he's just a pest, he's a treat for me" he said.
