Inpu's heart hurts to admit that in the beginning of Bryan and his relationship, he was ashamed to be with Bryan...

He isn't anymore! He loves when people recognise him as Bryan's, but he will never forget that he once was...

The pharaoh will never ever forgive himself.

When Inpu and Magnus first arrived at camp, they didn't plan on making friends. All they wanted was answers. Answers about Magnus's past.

The anti-social, aloof, children of Anubis didn't want any eyes on them.

But there were always eyes on Inpu. Eyes of confusion, worry, disgust, envy, hatred, you name it, someone stared at him with it.

And he knew why he was being stared at too, which made it worse.

It's because he was dating Bryan. The infamous son of Aphrodite.

The year before all the other pantheons joined the camp was an unforgettable year... and Bryan was one of the reasons that it was so memorable- and not in a a good way.

Bryan before arriving at Camp Oasis, had naïvely accepted a strange, esoteric sword which corrupted him as time passed...

It twisted Bryan's heart.

It twisted Bryan's face.

He became the worst version of himself. Bryan was obsessed with beauty and believed that power would make him beautiful as he couldn't even look at his face. He felt that mirrors would shatter upon seeing how hideous he was.

Thankfully. Mario, the son of Zeus defeated him, breaking the sword that used Bryan like a marionette. A puppet pulled on strings.

It wasn't Bryan's fault.

He didn't know what he had accepted that day. He didn't know the sword was evil until it was too late.

Inpu knew that.

But...

Dating the 'villain' of the camp had consequences. People whispered, talked behind his back, glared, he's even had people come up to him to check and see if he was under a love spell.

It all made him extremely uncomfortable and self-conscious.

And it made him feel shame for being with Bryan... Bryan is so thoughtful and sweet but hearing all the time of who his boyfriend once was a bit of disenchantment.

But.

Inpu did like Bryan though, so he stayed but sometimes he really thought about ending their relationship.

When in public with Bryan, he'd avoid giving affection to Bryan and he always made it clear he didn't want Bryan hugging, kissing, or anything with him.

People already looked at them funny, no need to add on to it.

He now wonders about how Bryan felt about his lack of showing public affection.

Was he hurt by it? Inpu assumed so.

But he seems to understand as he never pushed Inpu to show anything. He thinks Inpu just being there is enough.
