Set was right outside Aphrodite's Manor waiting for Inpu to answer the door 'I can be rid of him once and for all, for all the anguish he has caused me.' He mused. 'And when he's gone... Xylo is next on my list...'
He was wearing his favourite shendyt, made with the finest linen as he wants to enjoy this moment when he can finally say good riddance to his Grandson.
"Hello~" Set called into the house, his voice was raspy mostly due to being locked away in a mirror for five years.
"Coming!" A voice called, it wasn't Inpu's voice. The voice was lighter and had a slight accent to it. Set quickly recognised it as a Greek accent.
He's the god of foreigners after all.
As Set watched a man with dove white, feathery wings walk into view. Set then realised the flaw in his otherwise faultless plan.
'I should have forseen this...' he internally groaned.
The man was none other than Bryan, his grandson's husband and most definitely not Inpu. The ivory skin, the brown hair with its red tint, and those mystifying honey, brown eyes that glowed like gold in the beaming sunlight; and not to mention his aura that was so unalike Inpus in every conceivable way.
"Hello? Who are you?" Bryan inqured, looking at Set with a confused brow.
Set stared at him 'has Inpu not told him?' He wondered. Set's dissapointment turned to glee as he realised that Bryan didn't know that he was facing the very god ruined Cleopatra's Ball and was the bane the lives of many campers over half a decade ago.
'Wonderful...' Set thought.
"Hello, my name is... Wapawet. The brother of Anubis and I'm here to visit my nephew, to talk about affairs in the underworld." Set lied eloquently as he knew Bryan didn't know what either Set or Wapawet looks like.
Bryan face turned from confused to shocked, most likely because he realised he was in the presence of an Egyptian deity. "Oh!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry, he isn't here at the moment but you can wait here if you'd like." The son of Aphrodite told him.
'Drats.'
Set supposed it couldn't be that bad waiting around, I mean if it would mean the downfall of Inpu. It was worth it.
"Oh alright." He said.
Set or Wapawet followed Bryan inside and was lead to the kitchen where Set picked up a most delicious and alluring scent. Or as the Greeks would say, ambrosial.
"What is that smell?" He sniffed about the room, demanding to know of the divine smell that was invading his senses.
Bryan looked at him. "Huh?- oh! That would be my specialty, my mother's garden salad. I picked all the ingredients from my garden, just outside." He polietly informed him.
Set's nostrils flared upon laying eyes on the dish sitting on the kitchen counter in a fancy Greek-style bowl.
"Do you want some salad, Wapawet?" Bryan asked him, a slight hint of mirth in his words. Set merely nodded, just gazing at the salad.
"Take a seat and I'll make you some." The son of Aphrodite ordered. Set did as he was told and sat down at the dining table as Bryan dished him up a bowl of his mother's garden salad.
It was almost second nature making this salad, his makes it for Inpu all the time.
"Here you go." Bryan said, placing the salad in front of him. Set strangled his fork as he dug in to his salad. Savouring every bit of it.
"This - is - delicious!" Set exclaimed through mouthfuls of salad.
"Thank you." Bryan smiled at the compliment, "You know this is your nephew's favourite dish as well." He said absent-mindedly, staring at his own salad. "Really?" Set wondered aloud, his grandson has great taste.
