On the bridge: Atlas, Lotus, and Femi all stood around Ciaran who was shakily holding every fragment of the sword that Drannus had tasked them to repair.

The three channelled their souls into power and projected it like three blinding beams of light directly at Ciaran - specifically at the sword fragments.

And it hurt. It hurt like nothing else. Their souls were screaming. Their bodies were screaming, like it knew this was a bad idea.

Ciaran though watched in painless awe as the sword fragments glowed a sinister purple and pulled itself together like powerful magnets.

The sword cut through the air as it flew into above, centering itself and pointing the blade directly at the bridge.

Ciaran swiftly fled the bridge just as it struck.

A loud crack was heard and broken wood scattered. The shockwave sent the three unknowing teens crashing into the garden.

A dark magic seeped from the broken bridge, ensaring the sword, swallowing it in darkness and garbled whispers.

The three watched the sight and felt those whispers run up their spines.

Laughter erupted from the darkness and Ciaran wore a proud smile as the dark magic faded to reveal a person.

Only it wasn't a normal person. It wore long, tattered rags, had unnatural pink skin and dark, black, bat-like wings that looked as though they were sewn on, but it was its eyes.

Its bright green eyes that darted about the garden that kept everyones attention.

They reminded Femi of Paris Green. A lethal shade of green made of toxic chemcials that killed hundreds... she wondered if just looking into them for long enough would poison her.

She didn't want to find out.

Femi and her siblings picked themselves up from the garden as its laughter died down.

All dishevelled but okay.

They stood just before the stairs and Atlas quickly picked leaves and stray petals out of Femi and Lotus's hair, handing Lotus his sash in an effort to dry them.

It was a rare yet sweet sight when Atlas was worried but it wasn't time to focus on that.

The three gazed at the person who began wobbling off the bridge towards them, all thinking the same thing.

'Was this the person who would help them become whole?'

The person stopped, froze and just stared at them. The siblings were confused until a childish smile stretched across the persons face. It emitted a gigglish laugh, so unlike the menacing one before.

"Drannus!" It cried, flying and grappling onto Atlas, wrapping its lanky arms around him.

The what-ever-it-is then moved on to Femi.

"Zo!" It wore a distant smile as it said that.

It clutched Femi for a moment until it finally reached Lotus. "Brother!" It shrilled.

To say they were all 'a tad puzzeled' was an understatement. Where did the threatening laughter go?

"Where have you been these past few years?" It whined to its 'Brother'. "I haven't seen you in ages..."

Lotus stared at it, trying to think but the situation was nothing they had prepared for.

"Umm... I've been... busy?"

"Busy? Finally filled that hollow head of yours? What were you busy with?" It asked.

"Umm..." Lotus, usually so talkative struggled to find any words, leading to Femi butting in.

"You're brother has been with me!" She piped nervously. It did the trick though as the person just moved on to stare at the garden again.

"Ahem!"

The person's head whipped around, Atlas was sure he heard snapping noises from its neck. All four of them looked towards the source of the sound to see Ciaran looking annoyed.

Ciaran ensured he had everyones attention before clearing his throat. "Hello." He began.
"I am Ciaran, the one who resurrected you, O' Great Seductive Rose."

'So its called Seducitve Rose.' The three thought to themselves.

The Seductive Rose glanced at Ciaran but didn't spare him another moment as it looked at the bridge and began smiling broadly.

"I remember this place, now." It said, its tone was darker than before. It began ascending onto the bridge and started laughing.

"Here!" It yelled. "It was here!"

"He died right here!"

'What? Who died on our Brydad's bridge?' All  three of the kids wondered.

Atlas was especially curious.

"He fell from the sky! The son of Aphrodite!"

This stole Atlas, Lotus, and Femi's attention. 'A son of Aphrodite? But...' it was then that it all started to fall into place.

Their Brydad died on that bridge.

"What?" Atlas uttered aloud. Femi tried to shush him no avail. "How would you know that!" He screamed at the Rose.

The Rose then stared at his friends and brother in bliss. "Drannus, I was there when it happened."

"Y-you were there when Bry- the son of Aphrodite died?" It was Lotus's turn to speak up. The rose began to laugh.

"I was the one who killed him..."

...

"What?"

~

Oof, this was a long one.

Hopefully this is good. Sorry if it isn't.

Is this good?

SR seems a bit damaged doesn't he?

This chapter might be updated, I had more plans for this one so maybe.

I just want to post something.

Thank you for reading! 🤍
