"Prom is in 3 hours Nora," Sofia stated annoyed as she turned to Nora, who was on her phone texting Matt. 

"And?" She asked as Sofia stood up and quickly snatched Nora's phone. "Hey!" 

"I don't wanna hear it! Start getting ready now!" Sofia ordered as Nora rolled her eyes and sat next to Sofia, on the floor, where she was doing her makeup. 

"Are you excited for today?" Sofia asked, hoping that Nora gets hyped by the event. "I guess," Nora shrugged as she opened her makeup bag.

"You know, sometimes I wish I just had a normal best friend," Sofia spoke as she rolled he eyes and kept putting her makeup on. "Sorry, Sof!" Nora chuckled as Sofia shrugged. 

"I am used to it by now," Sofia joked as Nora smiled shyly at her friend. "Okay. Now tell me. What up?" Sofia mumbled knowing something was up with the girl.

"I wish I was going to prom with Matt," Nora admitted as Sofia smiled. "Wait... Does this mean?" Sofia trailed off being a little too excited.

"I don't know anymore," Nora admitted as she brought her legs close to her chest. Sofia and Nora stare at each other. Neither of them knows what to say. 

"What do you mean anymore?" 

"Everything before the crash was so normal and Matt as a... partner would have never crossed my name... but-" Nora started but Sofia cut her off "But?"

"I don't know. Lately, I have been feeling this tension. like the good kind... with him," Nora blushed as Sofia screeched.  "You should talk to him about it!" Sofia insisted as Nora shrugged. 

"I don't know if he feels the same way," Nora admitted as Sofia rolled her eyes. "We are talking about Matt Sturniolo? Right?" Sofia boomed as she finally resumed doing her makeup. 

"The guy has been obsessed with you since 7th grade," Sofia added making Nora laugh. "You really think?" 

"Yes! You guys act more like a couple than me and Chris do!" Sofia laughed. "I guess so," 

Sofia looked at her best friend and smiled. "You definitely should tell him. Soon," Sofia said as Nora looked at herself in the mirror; Finally starting her makeup. 

"I will," Nora gleamed as Sofia quickly went on her phone with the excuse that she was gonna change the song, but she really was just texting Chris. 

She had to tell him the incredible news she had just heard.

"Oh... We look so pretty," Sofia exclaimed as she looked at her best friend and then herself. "You! You look amazing Sof," Nora admired as she grabbed Sofia's hand, twirling her around.

"Stop!" Sofia smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror again. She wore a red sparkly dress, with a slit, she was definitely the best dress in the friend group. Chris felt very lucky that night.

Suddenly Nora's phone started ringing. "Chris is here to get you," Nora declared as she looked at her friend. "You mean Matt is here with Chris to pick me up," Sofia joked as Nora laughed. "yep,"

"Are you gonna come outside and say hi?" Sofia asked as Nora thought for a second. "You don't have to of course," Sofia added as Nora shook her head. 

"I rather see him now first, and not at the restaurant... with Noah," Nora explained making Sofia nod, understanding as the girls heard laughing downstairs.

"Oh, either Geral or Ethan let them in," Sofia remarked as she grabbed the bottle of perfume one last time spraying herself all over, again.

"C'mon, you smell great already!" Nora joked as she slightly pushed her friend downstairs. As Sofia went down the stairs you heard Geral, Nick and Ethan cheer at the girl. 

Chris stood there with a shocked expression on his face. "You look beautiful, Sof." He stated as the younger girl blushed. Matt and Nora lock eyes once she comes to view.

He could admit that Sofia looked amazing, but no one could look more beautiful to him as Nora did that night.

Everyone went on their own conversations as they left Matt and Nora alone. On purpose, to get them talking. 

"Matt-" Nora started but Matt cut her off by hugging her. "You always look amazing Nora, but today... you look breathtakingly good," Matt marveled causing the girl to blush. "Thanks, Matt. You look breathtakingly handsome," She chuckled but she wasn't lying.

"Thanks," He mumbled looking at her outfit again.

"Why is this weird?" Nora laughed as she mentioned the awkward air that had settled between them. "I have no idea," Matt laughed as well. 

"Well... probably because your not my date to the dance," Matt thought as she nodded. "Speaking of dates... Where is Annoying Ally?" Nora teased as Matt laughed, rolling his eyes. "Im picking her up soon," Matt said as he stared at Nora once again. 

"Please. Stop." Nora said laughing at how much he seemed to be focusing on her. "Yeah, Sorry," He smiled as his phone dinged a couple of times, Matt reached into his pocket before smiling down at his phone. "She is ready,"

"Who? Annoying Ally?" Nora said as Mat nodded. "Yes! And you have to stop calling her that," Matt said as she rolled her eyes.

Was Matt really into this girl?

"Guys. let's go!" Matt said to the groups as they all nodded and started heading outside. 

"You sure you don't need a ride?" Matt said turning back to his girl. "I am sure. Noah will come pick me up," She nodded as Matt smiled at her, he quickly grabbed the girl's hand. He pulled her in for one last hug. "You sure?" 

"Yes!" She said as he let go.

"Okay. Love you, Nora. See you at the restaurant," Matt kissed her cheek and exited the house.
"You look great Nora," Geral admitted as Nora finally turned around. "Thanks,"

"Yeah, who could tell my ugly sister could look okay? For once?" Ethan laughed as Nora quickly punched him in the stomach, taking his air away. 

"Thanks, Ethan!" She laughed alongside her younger sister.
