AKIRA'S POV-

If i knew how much it'd hurt me , if i knew it couldn't have been better don't you think i wouldn't?
Don't you think I'd stop the second i knew? I wasn't that foolish or in love. Now that I think about it i wasn't , i wasn't really in love . I liked him , i thought of him so beautifully, to me Kabir was the most beautiful thing in this world i found nothing more interesting than watching him talk and squint his cat grey eyes , i found nothing more important than to run the moment he called for me because i was a kid so into him that I forgot i had a life besides breathing next to him , because i loved breathing next to him it smelled so beautiful everything led me to believe i was in love but was i really? My answer to that might differ in future but it's No right now.
I know I'm just a teenager and these are all harmones and this love is not supposed to last. There is no forever yet , but i really care for Dev i think that's what's different i don't care if he's not in love with me , mostly i don't care if I'm not in love with him because I'd always be there and i know he'd always be there for me.

Dev-"vanilla?"
Akira-"hm? Yeah yeah"
He passes me the icecream cup

Dev-"do you really think he'll come?"
Akira-"I'm not sure , but i hope so"
Dev-"do you really wanna talk to him?"
Akira-"it's not like i have a choice."
Dev-"mhm fair enough"

Shourya-"hey , i think he'll be here by noon you should go do something till then"
Akira-"yeah offcourse it's not like I was gonna stand here the whole time"
Shourya-"yeah you use to say that all the time , when we'd catch you waiting outside Kabir's house like 3hours before when he said he'd come"
Akira-"that was a long time ago" i made a face.
Dev-"I'll go, i have homework "

Shourya gave Me the side eye
Akira-"um yeah okay , I'll actually just hang out here"
Shourya-"okay I'll wait with you until you hear my mom turn into a lion"
Dev smiled a little and went , i haven't got to see his smile in a long time , everytime he does it's like he's faking it.

Shourya-"hey i just want you to know if Kabir says something you have to be brave , he has no idea what's happened here...to you"
Akira-"like he cares"
Shourya-"i don't know that , but you've changed completely you know like me , i have changed so much as well. we don't know if Kabir's the same"
Akira-" trust me narcasissts never change"

Reha-" aku?"
What the actual fuck , i have managed to stay out of Reha's eyes for almost two years and out of all days today she sees me?

Akira-"hello Reha how are you!"
Reha-"how am I? Love where have you been all my life? Did you guys shift i haven't seen you in forever."
She hugs me

Akira-"no um actually we're still here we just moved to a different house"
Reha-"oh my god , you stopped coming to tacco nights, i just- i know it was lot after you know kabir-"
Shourya-"hello Reha! Do you plan on keeping us out all summer?"
Reha-"oh shourya! My child com'ere both of you "

She invited us in i haven't been here in 2 years , everything's the same reha still has the most beautiful house in town. Every small memory comes back to me , sitting on kitchen shelves baking cake and eating burned pizza it's so beautiful every memory.
I always thought of bad memories but this house brings back so much joy , my childhood.

Shourya-"nostalgic eh?"
I smile at him

Reha-"oh Kabir's also coming today, it'll be like our little reunion"
Akira-"yeah sure"
Reha-"so tell me about everything i missed out , you know aku like your boy drama? God i miss those days you'd tell me everything "
She came and hugged me "oh i miss my bestfriend "

But I'm not really exited to meet him , will he acknowledge what he did? Or does he even remember?

Akira-"uhm there's isn't much , I'm just by myself now"
Reha-"oh come one it's you! Akira's never out of boy drama"

I can't help but to smile , honestly i miss reha i miss our tacco nights how Kabir and the boys would not include me so she'd sit and hear all about my boy situations which was mostly about Kabir , i wonder how she never found out it was him.

Reha-"anyways Mahi is also here"
Akira-"oh Mahi?"
Reha-"yeah she was too busy traveling the world but she had to come for the wedding!"
Akira-"wait what wedding?"
Shourya -"Mahi's getting married? Damn"

Mahi-"what ? I'm not getting married mumma i told you I'm just 25!"
Mahi-"oh hi akira is that you?"
She hugged me and then shourya "omg your so tall now!"
Akira-"yeah that's me! How are you?"
Reha-"she left home one day with a note , and then never came back until now"
Mahi-"oh god maa you make it sound so dramatic, they knew i was going on a tour i just left a note to be filmy"
Reha-"and i am dramatic?"
Mahi-"gosh ma!"

Shourya-"but wait who's wedding?"
Reha-"you guys don't know? I thought you came for Kabir's wedding"
Akira-"Kabir's wedding?"
