Chapter 34 (Part 1)

Alexis POV

It's been one week since my mom came back and it's also been a week living with her.

When i asked her why she came back in the first place, she just said it's because of business. I also asked her how she knew Amber and she just said she's a daughter of an acquaintance. It's either she's talking about our school's head master or Amber's Mother.

Makes sense cause she's a business woman but there is something bothering me. Like something is not right. My guts are always right that's why i've been anxious since my mom came back.

I don't know if I'm just being paranoid because Amber is ignoring me for two days now. I'm going to start my internship at her clinic next week but I don't know what's gotten to that girl. She's suddenly avoiding me.

"Alexis!"

I flinched when i heard my uncle's voice calling me. I forgot we're actually eating dinner outside.

"Are you okay? Kinakausap ka ng Mommy mo" my uncle asked me worriedly

Nasa tapat ko si mommy ngayon at nag aalala ding nakatingin sakin. I can't believe I'm spacing out in front of the food. Lately, anlalim ng mga iniisip ko dahil kay Amber. Di ko alam bakit nya ko iniiwasan. Okay naman kami last week pero bigla nalang ganito.

"Yes po. I'm sorry" i said and pretended to focus on my food. I took a bite at the steak pero feeling ko hirap na hirap akong ngumuya ngayon

"So as I am saying, you can graduate without taking the internship anak. Your academic credentials are enough and the head master himself said we can go back to Canada without any problems with your diploma" my mom proudly said that made me so confused

"What are you talking about?" Im so confused and it made me feel bad in an instant

"You're going back to Canada with me. You don't need to worry about your graduation cause it's settled" my mom calmly said as if it was nothing

"What?--"

"Congratulations cupcake! Sana all diba ganyan kadali grumaduate" natatawa namang sabi ni uncle pero mas lalo lang akong naguluhan

"Wait. I don't understand any of this. What do you mean we're going back to Canada?" I asked confused.

"That's it, honey. We're going back to Canada. It's that simple" my mom simply answered like she was unbothered

Nailapag ko ang hawak kong tinidor sa plato dahil sa mga narinig ko. Di alam kung nag jo'joke time ba sila kasi walang wala ako sa mood para makipag biruan ngayon

"What the hell are you talking about? You didn't talk to me about this"

I'm trying my very best to calm down at this moment. Andami kong iniisip ngayon at any time sasabog ako pag pinagpatuloy nila to.

"That's why we're talking about this now, Lex. It's just that i settled it first so you don't have to worry about anything"

"That's right sweetheart. Your mom here talked to the headmaster personally and got you covered. Wala din namang naging problema since top student ka sa department nyo. Im so proud of you" dagdag pa ni uncle na halata mong proud na proud sakin

Para akong nabibingi dahil sa mga naririnig ko. Bakit parang ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. Hindi ako aware sa lahat ng to. Wala akong ka alam alam.

Ganitong ganito din ang nangyari nung pinadala nila ako pabalik dito sa pinas. Everything happened so fast that i didn't had the chance to stop them. They always decide and never ask for my consent!

Sa mga oras na to, wala akong ibang naiisip kundi si Amber lang. I refuse to listen to everything they say. Ayokong maghalo halo lahat sa utak ko. Kung may importante man sakin ngayon, yun ay si Amber lang.
