Chapter 39

Alexis POV

"Girlfriend?" Shaun confusedly asked

I let go of him but my eyes didn't. I'm so mad at him.

I held Amber's hand and pulled her close to me. I can see that he's really confused about this but i know that i can't take back what i said now.

"You heard it right. Re-sched your plan some other time, I'm taking my girlfriend with me"

Hindi ko na sya inantay pang makapagsalita at hinila na si Amber at umalis na sa harap nya.

Dumiretso kami sa parking lot kung nasan ang kotse ko at pinagbuksan sya ng pinto para makapasok. Mabilis din akong umupo sa driver's seat at sa totoo lang kanina pa kabog ng kabog ang dibdib ko.

Alam kong galit ako kay Shaun dahil sa ginawa nya kay Amber pero di ko maiwasan ang di kabahan. He knows about us already. Fuck.

"I don't think you have to do that" Amber worriedly said so i looked at her

She's obviously worried about it too. I know i over reacted but what can i do? I just can't sit and do nothing after he yelled at her in front of me.

"I can do worse than that. I just stopped myself cause we're in a public place" i arrogantly said to lessen her worries a little

Her soft laugh instantly melt my heart.

"Scary" she softly said with a tease on her voice

I just smiled at least she kinda feel at ease now.

Saglit kaming nanahimik at alam kong pareho kami ng iniisip ngayon. Alam namin pareho na magiging mahirap na ang sitwasyon ngayong alam na ni Shaun ang tungkol saming dalawa.

"You should talk to him" she said to break the silence

I let out a heavy sigh and nod. "Yeah, I know."

"I will talk to him as well. I will try to explain everything to him" she added

"No, I'll talk to him first. Don't talk to him about this matter if I'm not around. I've always known Shaun as a calm person but that's totally different from what I've seen earlier."

Ibang-iba ang Shaun na nakita ko kanina. Wala akong alam sa mga nangyari sa kanya sa loob ng dalawang taon pero kitang kita ko ang pagbabago nya.

He's calm and a happy go lucky person. He respects everyone around him. He is someone who would protect anyone even a stranger to him. That's the Shaun i know before.

"Okay. I'll let you two talk first. I promise." She softly said and held my hand

Napatingin ako sa kamay naming dalawa at di ko mapigilang mapangiti. I didn't know these kind of simple gestures feels so warm and  pure.

Oh boy, I'm so inlove with this girl.

It's 10 o'clock in the evening and i decided to meet Shaun at the balcony of our hotel. Amber and I postponed our date tonight so I could talk with Shaun. We both know i have to settle things as soon as possible. Two days nalang aalis na 'ko ng bansa.

"Gale"

I turned my back as i heard his voice calling me. His worried and nervous face is so visible to me even if it's dark in our area.

"Gale, please tell me it's all just a lie. A misunderstanding." He desperately said looking at me

I took a deep breath and walk closer to him. I have to admit that I missed him and i never thought we will end up like this.
