Trial by fire

Chapter 2

-Kya stares at them, but doesn't say a word. She has no clue what to do...- "I said," Max repeats, "What's your name, hun?" Before Kya can say anything, Andrew grabs her and slams her, hard, against the lockers.
-Andrew says, "He asked you a question darling. Now, Answer him! "
-Andrew slaps her hard in the face, forcing her to fall to the tile floor.-
Before they can hit her again, she screams, "Kya! My name is Kya!" The boys look around at each other, and grin.
Max says, "Pick her up, Cole." Cole was the blonde one with the long hair.
Cole grabs her by the shirt by her chest, and forces her to stand up again. Before she can do anything to escape... ... Before she can do anything to escape, her hand grabs onto Cole's wrist, burning his flesh with her powers. Cole screams, and grabs onto his wrist, in pain.
The boys run down the hallway, and before she sees Max turn the corner, she hears him say, "That girl is possessed..."

The next school day, Cole wasn't at school. Whenever Kya walked past Max in the hall, he would give her a terrible look, but teachers were always watching, so he couldn't do anything to her.
Kya wondered if Cole told anyone what happened... Maybe he just told everyone a lie? Kya knew that Cole wanted revenge, and that maybe he wanted it bad...
