Andrews turn was finally over. Kya sighed and coughed. That was torture... She tried her fire again but nothing happened. She looked around, exhausted. She studied the door. Wait... Hold on a second... Are you serious? Andrew left it open. She could see clearly that there was about an inch of space in between the door and the doorway. She bolted up, then collapsed. She was so weak.
She got up again, slowly this time, and held onto the wall. She made her way to the door. Peering out, she noticed that the hallway was empty. It was a brick hallway, with lots of other doors. Some old lights dimmed above her head. She wasn't expecting Cole for another 45 minutes, she predicted. She could escape. She got outside of the door and closed it silently. She started walking down the hallway, then stopped when she heard voices coming from another room. They were Andrews, Coles, and Maxs. She quickly ran past the door, and around the corner. "What was that?" She heard Max say. She held her breath.
Kya heard footsteps from around the corner. She then ran as fast as she could down another set of hallways. Come on.... She tried her powers again, making a tiny spark. At least her fire was returning.
She turned a corner and bumped into someone. He instantly puts his hand over her mouth. His lips curl up into a grin. His chest was bare- and burnt. It was welted. It must have been burned a while ago. She looked up, already knowing who it was.
Cole.
He shoved her into a room, this one identical to the one she was just trapped in. "Listen, Kya. I'm done with your sh*t. This time, I'm not joking." He whispered in her ear. "I am going to kill you." He said evilly.
Fear shot through her. She lunged for the door, but something stopped her- he had looped a rope around her neck. He pulled her back to him, now she was against his chest. He took the rope in his hands and tightened it as much as she could. It was so tight, she felt like her neck could snap. She could see the enjoyment in his eyes. She tried her fire, but her vision started to blur. She felt so weak... She tried to breath in, but found nothing. She gagged, making crackling noises. He pulled tighter. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She heard voices in the distance... "Don't kill her!" They were fading. "COLE!" Then everything went black...
