A few minutes later, someone pulls the bag off of her head, pulling a little bit of her hair too. Kya winces, and watches as Cole places the bag in his lap. It takes a minute for her vision to focus, but then she notices that they are on a dirt road, surrounded by tall trees. It was still dark outside, but it was getting lighter as morning got closer.
The dirt road was bumpy, but Kya let her head rest on the edge of her seat. Very quickly, she fell into a deep sleep...

When Kya woke up, she noticed that Cole was no longer in the car. It was just Kya and Max. Kya felt like she had been sleeping for hours, but she looks at the time and it was only six o'clock.
Kya finally gets the courage to speak: "W-where are we going?"
Max turns his face away from the road, and looks at Kya. "You'll see." He says, and a mysterious grin grows upon his face.
The car stops at an old, abandoned log cabin. The place looks like it was about a thousand years old, and it looks like it was about to topple over. Kya got out of the car and looked at the atmosphere around her: still woods. She didn't even know if they were still in LA...
When they got inside, Kya noticed the water damage in the ceiling, and the mold creeping in the floors. Dust flew everywhere, and the place smelled of rotten food. Sure enough, some old food was left in the fridge. "This is where we will be staying for a while, sweetheart." Says Max, as he puts a few bags down on the carpet. "Now darling, over there in the closet is a broom, a duster, and lots of other cleaning supplies. Give the place a clean up, got it?" Kya doesn't reply. Max pushes her against the fridge with a loud "thud". "Look, Kay, Kya, whatever your name is. I'm not going to deal with this anymore. You better listen to me, and if you don't you will suffer. Now, like I said, 'Got it'?" Max looks strictly into her eyes.
Kya replies: "Yes, sir." Max: "that's more like it! He kisses her quickly, and Kya winces.
She walks over to the closet and opens the door.
