Chapter 8: The First Round Begins

[With Ray...]

It was the night after the End of the Preliminaries round, Daniel gave them 3 days to recover their strength and Meta Power.

Ray sleeps peacefully in his bed and yet for some reason, he feels a presence near him. He struggles to wake up but managed to then he finches as he sees his brother, Camil by the door.

"Camil, what are you doing still up? Its the middle of the night."

He asks sleepily, he squint his eyes to get a better look of his brother.

Camil wore pajamas that had donut patterns, in his right hand. He holds his pillow and on the left, he holds his blanket.

"Brother, I am worried about that New Ranker Lilith, I kept all of this to myself but now I can't sleep."

He answers him.

Ray rubs one of his eye, he sees Camil exhausted face from overthinking. He sighs and taps his left side of the bed, telling him to lie down.

Camil climbs the bed and lie down beside him.

"Brother, that girl.... Lilith. I still can't believe that she became Rank no. 5 in just a day, not only that there are rumors among the contestants that she finished off a whole nest of Phantom Dragons by herself. If she could kill them with easily then coudn't she have gotten a higher rank, although I don't know why she doesn't but we should still be careful of her."

He clarified his worries to his brother, Ray who could barely keep himself awake. Still listens to him, he press his nose bridge and gave a heavy sigh,

"In other words, you are worried she'll take my spot."

Camil nods in response, seeing this. Ray pats him on the chest.

"Sleep, Camil. I will deal with her when the time is right."

He assures him, although he only said it out of sleepiness. Camil is relieve that he told his worries to him but nevertheless he feels as though he has a familiar feeling with her but can't point it out. Eventually he closes his eyes to sleep, Ray snuggles him under his arms and they both sleep together throughout the night.

The Preliminaries round had ended and its been three days since then, the remaining 100 Participants are gathered in Aotu Lobby

[In the distance....]

Lilith can see King's Party and it looks like King just woke up and falls on the ground.

"He slept for the whole 3 days, I'm surprised Grey would carry him here."

She comments.

"Well, they aren't childhood friends for nothing."

Leo states.

Speaking of friends...thank goodness. she lets out a sigh of relief then she sees King hugging Kalie.

"Wha-!?" She reacts.

"What's up?"

Leo asks, wondering what got her riled up.
