Chapter 10: The End of the Race

Before the S.S. Gazellehorn could fire, Lilith notices their aim is off. Meaning they wouldn'tbe hurt, knowing this she doesn't do anything and only watch.

Just as she predicts, the attack did miss the rocket ship. Although Shitou stumbles and falls, she caught him by his feet before his face touch the ground. Then she throws him back inside the rocket ship, where Kalie and King waits and Lilith jumps back to her ship.

"That was a close one! Good thing, they missed."

Lilith smiles.

"What!? It's you! You- you're the one who helped us before!"

King exclaims, surprised to see that she was the one helping them all along.

"You're the Top 5 Ranker Lilith!?"

He asks, she nodded and said.

"The idea you made wasn't bad but unfortunately no one is willing to make sacrifices, This is Aotu Tournament where only one person can win and get a wish. Do you really think people will help each other sincerely?"

She asks Shitou,

"But you helped us and before as well.."

He replies, believing in her goodwill. She looks at him, surprised as she hadn't thought much of what she did.

"We-well, I had my own reasons."

Lilith waves to Kalie, she was about to do the same as well but King who was in front of her thought it was for him. Kalie looks at King with an annoyed expression, Lilith puts down her hand awkwardly and just smiles at him.

"Anyways, you should go. No one is bothering to listen, it's a waste of time."

She says hinting them to go, Kalie understands and calls Grey to get inside.

"Grey, hurry and get in."

He enters the rocket ship and soon enough they left, Lilith's vehicle followed behind them as Godrose and Ray fire at each other.

[With the Spectators...]

"Godrose and Ray's parties are engaged in intense crossfire! Both sides are hyped up with maximum outputs but this round is still a speed race, while Godrose and Ray's parties were busy fighting. Grey's party has caught up and is now in first place followed by Lilith's party in second!"

The commentator continues,

"Wait! Grey's party was surpassed! Now in first place is Whitming's airship! No! Wait! Angela's S.S Reaper has taken lead! All the contestants who were previously cautious of Godrose and Ray's firepower are now all competing for first place as well! Wow! The race is getting more and more intense!"

Their ship maintained being behind the rocket ship, she sees the last turn of the race and the commentator speaks again,

"Good work to all contestants! Now we are arriving at the last turn, The destination is in reach. The last section of the race will have many times the danger."
