"Whoa there, Feather." We finally made it to Liyue. After saying all of our goodbyes to our friends in Mondstadt we raced over to Liyue as fast we can. Missing the Rite of Descension was not gonna be an option for us. I gotta hand it to Jean though. Giving me a horse as like a thank you/goodbye gift. Her name is Featherlight or Feather for short. She's a white, graceful horse and she's fast too. Managed to get us to Liyue in almost about an hour but then again Liyue and Mondstadt are neighbors so it really wasn't that much of a long travel.
We stopped by a Statue of The Seven and saw that it was different from the ones we saw in Mondstadt. I unmounted my horse and walked up to the statue. Like before I touched it and a few golden orbs floated towards me. My turquoise highlights changed to gold.
"Did... did you just feel the power of Geo? Your connection to the elements is so different from the Vision bearers! Seems like you can physically switch between elements..."
"Hmm, handy very very handy if you ask me." I said.
"Paimon agrees. We're in Liyue now, which is ruled over by the Geo Archon. That's why the statues here look a bit different."
Liyue was different. As we rode we saw yellow grassy plains, mountains, rivers, and lakes. We made our way to a little inn where we settled down. Fortunately, there's a stable near the inn so we could keep Feather safe too.
The lady in the front desk gave us directions to the city and when we finally got there we were stunned. Liyue Harbor sat atop a bed of rock and was surrounded by sea as far as the mind can imagine. Everywhere shouted out their history. The clothes, food, and buildings. And if memory serves this is where Xiangling lives. Wanmin restaurant is the place she works at. Hopefully, we get to see her again here.
The city bustled to life as merchant hawked their wares. Today was extra busy due to the fact that the Rite of Descension was about to happen. But before we could do anything else we had to fulfill a job given to us by Katheryne. The first place we headed to was the Adventurers' Guild.
"Ad Astra Abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild."
"Katheryne!" Paimon and I said.
"Yes, it's me, is there something wrong?" she asked.
"Uh... no, no, it's just... we saw you over at Mondstadt..." I said.
"Oh, there's more of us. We all work in each nation to support the separate branches of the Adventurers' Guild. I was notified by the Mondstadt branch that you would be delivering a message for me."
"Oh, yeah that, right." I gave her the letter that Katheryne from Mondstadt gave me.
Katheryne opened it and read it. Something sure did catch her interest though. "What's this - a Dandelion? Why is there a Dandelion in this envelope?" she asked.
"Umm..." I did not expect this coming. I wonder what Mondstadt Katheryne was thinking when she sent this.
"Adventurer, did you place a Dandelion in this envelope to try and prove you are from Mondstadt?"
"I swear it wasn't me. I was just as confused as you are..." I said.
"Don't worry there's really no need. There's more than enough information contained in this letter to establish your identity and background. This letter from the Mondstadt Adventurers' Guild says that you are a highly experienced adventurer. If that's true, I'm sure you're ready to take on commissions from the Liyue Adventurers' Guild. A whole new world of wild adventures awaits you. Ad Astra Abyssosque!"
Perfect! That solves the money problem for here. I also asked Katheryne where the Rite of Descension was taking place and she directed me to a place called Yujing Terrace.
