"So this... Holy Lyre Der Himmel is..."

"One of the most treasured items in Mondstadt. It's the lyre that Barbatos used to play. With it, perhaps I can help Dvalin draw his gentle nature back out of this nightmare he's going through." said Venti.

"Will it really stop Stormterror from causing more damage?" Paimon took the words right out of my mouth.

"Of course. I'm the best bard in the world. There's not a single song I do not know, no matter if it's from the past, present, or future."

Paimon and I looked at each other.

"Look me in the eyes. Do you not find me trustworthy?" he asked.

"The color of your eyes is like the sky in my hometown." I sarcastically said.

"Hahaha, that one doesn't work on a bard." laughed Venti.

"So, how can we get the Holy Lyre?" asked Paimon.

"It's said that it's enshrined deep within the Cathedral, somewhere safe. I'll go take a look around. You can come if you want."

Paimon and I followed him so that we can keep a close eye on him.

...

The inside of the cathedral has sleek white walls, tile floors, stained glass windows for as far as the eye can see. Melodic organ music can be heard as people prayed.

"Let me handle this..." Venti said. He walked up to one of the nuns. Paimon and I sat down in a near by to listen in to the conversation.

"Hello there, Sister." he cheerfully said.

"May the Anemo God bless you, young bard. How can I help you?" she asked.

"Actually, I know a secret that can save Mondstadt from its current predicament."

"Oh, what a blessing from the God of Anemo! But you should report that to the Knights of Favonius. Why have you come to me?" she asked.

"Hahaha, because you, dear sister, are able to help! I'd like to borrow... the Holy Lyre. With it, I'll be able to help Stormterror-"

"Please see yourselves out." Yup, I was afraid that this would happen. He was immediately shut down when he asked to borrow a very important and historical artifact of Mondstadt.

"What?" he asked shocked.

"It's a vicious dragon indeed, but once the Acting Grand Master makes up her mind, nothing can stand in the Knights' way."

"That's simply not acceptable. Wouldn't Stormterror end up getting killed that way?" asked Venti.

"That foolish beast betrayed the winds. Not even the God of Anemo themselves would forgive it!"

Well, there goes the nice attitude that nun had.

"Wow... Please I beg of you!" Venti begged.

"I'm afraid not, little bard."

"Then... I guess I'm left with no other choice. I cannot hide anymore!" I was about to grab Venti and drag him out of here if he was thinking of something violent. "My disciples, rejoice! Behold, the God of Anemo, Barbatos has descended!"

Paimon and I just sat there with our mouths wide open. I facepalmed myself as I couldn't believe Venti pulled that card.

"Shocked, aren't you? Don't you just want to cry and rejoice? How does it feel to finally meet the god you've been serving?"

"If there's nothing else, I'll be going back to handle the Cathedral's paperwork now."

Definitely saw that something.

...

"Eh, she didn't even bat an eyelid. But, I have at least learned what I wanted to know. She didn't deny that the Cathedral is enshrining the Holy Lyre."

"Yeah, so..." I said.

"Now, Lumine, since you're the hotshot of the Knights of Favonius... Maybe you can give it a shot."

"What!?" I got shushed by some of the people trying to pray.

"Oops, sorry everyone, carry on with whatever you were doing." I whispered. "You want me to ask for the Holy Lyre? What makes you think that she'll say yes to me?" I said as I faced Venti.

"Trust me, this'll work"

Well, we got nothing else left to lose, I sighed and walked up to the nun that Venti talked to.

"Barbatos bless you. Ah, it's you! The newcomer of the Knights of Favonius, aren't you?" she asked.

"It appears that word has already gotten out about me. Yes, hi I'm Lumine, Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius, and this is my friend Paimon."

"Welcome to Mondstadt, I know you from that day that you and Amber saved Mondstadt. So what brings you here? Tasks from the Acting Grand Master?" she asked.

"Yes, actually. The Knights of Favonius would like to borrow the Holy Lyre..." I said.

"Is that so? Not that I don't trust you. It's just that suspicious bard came looking to borrow the Holy Lyre as well. He's full of nonsense and even called himself Barbatos. He must be up to something."

"Don't worry, I've got my eye on him." I said.

"There are regulations in place for use of the Holy Lyre. Currently, it's only used in Ludi Harpastum. Signed documents from the Grand Master. Seneschal, and Community Representative are all required. So, may I see the document from the Knights of Favonius?"

I panicked. I didn't know there was paperwork required to use the Holy Lyre. I tried to think of something good but since I was on a short amount of time I said:

"Paimon ate it on our way here."

"Hey!" she said,

Oops, sorry Paimon. Don't know what came over me. I kind of freaked out.

"A signed document is required. Without it, there's not much I can do. Now, if you'll excuse me.I really am quite busy as of late."

There is definitely no way we're getting the Holy Lyre now. That was our one and only plan to save Dvalin and now that's out of the list. I don't even know what else we can do.

"Well, I tried." I said as we exited the cathedral. "Got any more bright ideas?"

"As a matter of fact... I do." I didn't like the look Venti gave me.
