The night sky was lit up with stars, and Athena felt like I was in a dream. "Where are we going?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly.

Hobie turned to me and gave me a small smile. "Ya gunna find out," he said, leading me through the darkness.

I could feel the tension in the air, it was tick that you could cut it with a knife. I couldn't help but try to break it with a bit of humor. "Where are you going to take me, kill me?" I joked softly, trying to make light of the situation.

"Kill ya? Nah," Hobie chuckled, shaking his head. He gave a small smile as he watched my expression go from shock to relief, happy that his words had been able to ease my tension, even just a little bit.

As we made out way out of the abandoned buildings, I followed him, my curiosity peaked, wondering what Hobie had in store for me. I wasn't sure if I was ready to go wherever he was leading me, but I knew I was willing to follow him, wherever he may take me.

I took a deep breath, feeling the cool night air in my lungs, and smiled to myself. Whatever Hobie had in store for me, I was ready for it.

I stood there in shock as Hobie activated the watch that he constantly wore, and a portal appeared before them. It was a swirling vortex of light and color, and I could could feel the air around them start to vibrate with a strange energy.

"Hobie, what's happening?!" I exclaimed, feeling a wave of panic wash over me. I had never seen anything like this before

And now I wasn't sure if I was ready for whatever was on the other side of that portal.

Hobie gave me a small smile, "Just hold my hand," he said.

As I reached out and took his hand, I felt a sense of calm wash over ms. I was still scared, but knowing that Hobie was there with me made it all a little easier to handle.

Steadily, we walked towards the vortex, and before she knew it, they were sucked through into the unknown.

Hobie and I found ourselves transported through time and space, a portal opening up before them and transporting them to a completely different world. We emerged in a city that was bustling with activity, unlike any place I had never ever seen before.

We were in the Spider-Verse....

I felt her eyes widen as she saw the different versions of Spider-Man who inhabited this world, each one with their own unique costume and personality. She saw Spider-Ham, who was a pig with a spider costume, and Spider-Noir, who was a black and white Spider-Man wielding a gun. There were so many different versions that I couldn't even keep track.

But then I saw something else that was equally as remarkable - the villains. They too had counterparts in this world, and I saw the Goblin, Doc Ock, extra...

I felt a sense of awe wash over me. This was the Spider-Verse, a world where the impossible was possible, and I was a part of it. "Hobie," I said quietly, still not quite able to believe what I was seeing. "This is... this is incredible."

Hobbie gave her a small nod, "I knew this whole time," he said simply, as if it was nothing. "And now, we're here."

"I can't believe that you didn't tell me from the start." I exclaimed, feeling a mix of betrayal and confusion wash over me. I stood there, watching as Hobie looked down at the ground.

"How could you keep something like this from me for so long?" I continued, my voice rising in pitch. "I thought we were friends, Hobie. I trusted you." I didn't know why I was angry, he's been here for my this whole time and here I am getting upset for something so little.
