The portal was shaped like an octagon all the way through. I did try my best to look around only ever making myself more nauseous. But what I did get was... what I could only describe as down right beautiful. It looked like spider webs. The background or- I don't know how else to describe it as, it looked like a watercolour painting. The blend of colours such as dark blue or purple, blend together beautifully. I drew my attention to the exit to the portal in front of me.

I was spat out of the portal onto an elevator? I didn't try to stand up, knowing I would probably fall. I kept my hands and palms planted on the ground of the elevator, including my feet. The man looked at me, and then shook his head.

"What? I just got bit yesterday? You think I'm gonna stand up? Nah I don't wanna die bucko." I said, rolling my eyes at him. The woman told me his name, to address him more comfortably, than...bucko... his name was Miguel O'hera.

"That's your name? I feel kinda bad for you.." I said laughing at him. He looked at me intimidatingly.

"Yeah, but at least my name isn't y/n.." he said, giving me a smug look. I rolled my eyes, sticking my tongue out at him. I mean it was a little funny, mean, but funny. I laughed and looked at the lady and pointed at him with my thumb. She let out a half giggle before stopping and looking at me, stifling a laugh. Miguel rolled his eyes.

"Oh c'mon Miguel he's funny, you can't get mad at either of us." she said finally laughing, Miguel began to stifle laughs as well. Mumbling under his breath that it wasn't funny. The elevator stopped, the doors opened and I looked out seeing so many people like me...I mean I thought like only a few hours ago that I was the only one. I mean sure it was only for a few hours but it still felt lonely... I looked around in astonishment. It was mainly people in reds and blues. Suddenly the nausea came back and I threw up.

" Why do they always do that?" Miguel asks, probably referring to the throwing up. Do others do it as well? I mean I would assume so.

"I don't know maybe because I've never gone through a portal before, but you can draw your own conclusion sherlock." I said standing up, wiping my mouth and giving Miguel some attitude. Miguel and the woman started walking off, I followed suit.

"Hey, lady, what's your name? So I don't refer to you in my mind as the woman forever." I said tapping her on the shoulder.

"Oh my names jess, jessicah to be more specific." she said, smiling at me with her eyes closed.

"Thank you." I said, giving her a similar smile. We walked into an office-like space where Miguel stopped and looked at me. Tossing some sort of bracelet with a button on it. I put it on the button fell on the palm of my hand. Jess showed me how to use it. I pressed it and a web shot, and landed on the wall right next to someone they yelped. I looked closer at the area, and a girl walked out wearing a black and white suit.

"Did you shoot a web at me?" she said, walking up to me pointing a finger in my face.

"Yeah I'm so sorry, I'm new to this." I said in response, putting my hands up in defence. She nodded her head, dropping her arm to her side, before lifting it back up and taking her mask off. She had dyed hair, with a shaved side to her head. She also had an eyebrow piercing. I looked at her as she put her hand out to shake mine. I took it sheepishly. Shaking it

"I'm Gwen Stacy, the ghost spider, and you are..?" she said, cocking her head to the side.

"I'm y/n l/n, uh no spider name yet? Nice to meet you." I said, confirming to myself that I was in fact a spider person. I sighed internally, the thought of being a spider persson sounded tiring, though you wondered if anyone else went through the feeling of dehydration constantly. So I asked.
