Brock, the First Gym Leader!!

You stood before the Pewter City Gym and took a deep breath.

(Y/N): Here goes.

You looked at your three Pokeballs and at Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pika?

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm fine Little Buddy. I'm just going to take a deep breath and do this!

After one deep breath, you walked in.

???: So, you've come to challenge me?

(Y/N): Yeah!

???: Very well. I am Brock, Leader of the Pewter City Gym.

Brock

(Y/N): And I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you. I choose Butterfree!

You sent Butterfree out.

Brock: Very well. Let's begin.

Brock took two Pokeballs out and sent one out.

Brock: GO GEODUDE!!!

Geodude: GEODUDE!

(Y/N): This should be easy! Butterfree, use Sleep Powder!

Butterfree spread a bunch of powder across the room, and then-

Brock: Geodude, use Dig!

Geodude tunneled into the ground!

(Y/N): OH CRAP! BUTTERFREE USE TACKLE AND STOP GEODUDE!

Butterfree attacked Geodude before he could go deeper.

Brock: You've got a quick line of thinking (Y/N), but I'm still going to win. Geodude, use Rock Smash!

Geodude tried to slam into Butterfree, but-

(Y/N): BUTTERFREE, USE CONFUSION!

Butterfree used Confusion, and caused Geodude to get confused.

Brock: What?! Geodude, snap out of it!

But Geodude only ended up hurting himself in the confusion and got KO'd.

Brock got Geodude back in his ball, and you switched out.

(Y/N): Alright! I'm ready for the next round!

Brock: I'm impressed. You managed to outsmart Geodude, but this will be different. COME OUT ONIX!!

Onix roared and-

(Y/N): Let's go Charmander!

Charmander: Char!

Brock: What? You do know that Fire Types are weak to Ground Types right?

(Y/N): That has nothing to do with this. I'm trying to improve Charmander's strength. Look at him.

Charmander had a determined face.

Brock: Alright then. ONIX USE ROCK TOMB!!

Onix caused the ground to shake and rocks to fall, and-

(Y/N): CHARMANDER! DODGE!

Charmander dodged, and-

(Y/N): Use Rage!

Charmander built up Rage and attacked Onix.

Onix attacked back, but you kept having Charmander go again with Rage!

(Y/N): Charmander use Rage!

Charmander hit Onix again.

And the giant Pokémon took more damage.

(Y/N): THAT'S IT!

The process continued over and over, until-

Onix was KO'd.

Brock: I lost. Very well then.

He took out a badge.

Brock: Here's the Boulder Badge. You've earned it.

(Y/N): ALRIGHT!!

Brock: You've done well (Y/N). Following your dreams, wish I had time for that.

(Y/N): Then why don't you? What do you want to do?

Brock: I want to be a great Pokémon Breeder. I took the title of Gym Leader ever since my father left.

(Y/N): Well who knows, you could always come along with me and my friends. I mean, if you want.

Brock: Hmm ... well-

And so...

(Y/N): Everyone! Meet Brock. He's going to be joining us.

Weiss: How did you convince him?

(Y/N): He wants to follow his dreams and-

Brock grabbed Weiss by the hands.

Brock: Wow! I never thought I'd see someone so beautiful on the first day! I'm Brock, say are you available for dinner a-

You grabbed him by the ear and pulled him off.

(Y/N): Okay, let's go.

Brock: Or you know, we could do some shopping, or maybe go out for some coffee!

(Y/N): (Sigh) At least this adventure will be exciting.
