17- This is Our Ouran Festival!

"Haruhi, wait up!" Hikari shouts as Haruhi stops.

"Hikari, why do I feel like this?" Haruhi asks as she sits on the ground, "my chest hurts and I want to cry".

"Haruhi, you like Tamaki-senpai" Hikari says with a smile, "and what you're feeling right now is jealousy because the person you like is engaged".

"I'm... jealous?" Haruhi asks confused.

The girls take a moment with each other before moving back to the hall to reconvene with the club members.

--- the next day ---

"Welcome, Miss" Kyoya says as he places a cup of tea down on the table in front of Éclair.

"I know you. You're one of the Otori family son's, aren't you?" Éclair says as she looks at Kyoya through her theatre glasses, "unfortunately, you're the family's third son, so you can never be their successor".

"What can I do for you today, Mademoiselle?" Kyoya asks as he brushes off Eclair's remark.

"You can tell me how much Haruhi Fujioka is in debt with the host club" Éclair says as she lowers her glasses.

"Haruhi, there's someone to see you" Kyoya says as he spots Haruhi walking past.

"How are you today?" Haruhi asks as she sits opposite Éclair.

"I couldn't help but notice that my Tamaki has a soft spot for you" Éclair says as Kyoya leaves the two of them alone.

"Just what are you getting at?" Haruhi asks as she looks at Éclair, "are you saying you're jealous of me?".

"Oh, listen to you" Éclair says as she sits forward, "Tamaki won't be coming today. I warned him that I'd be upset if he ever showed his face at the host club ever again".

"I wonder what happened to Tama-chan" Honey says sadly.

"I'm getting worried. Something's up with him" Hikaru says as he looks at Kaoru, "after what he said yesterday...".

"Alright, gentlemen. No more idle chatter" Kyoya says as he claps his hands softly, "our guests are waiting for us".

"Senpai, it's like you don't even care" Kaoru says as he looks away.

"It's our jobs to take care of our guests to the best of our abilities" Kyoya says as he pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose, "remember, they're looking to all of us to entertain them. They're happiness is of the utmost importance".

"He's right, Kao-chan" Honey says as he hugs Kaoru.

"Honey-senpai, what are you doing?" Kaoru asks as he tries to get Honey off of him.

"Come on" Mori says as he drags Hikaru away.

"Let go, Mori-senpai" Hikaru says as he struggles with Mori's strength.

Kyoya looks at Haruhi and Éclair as Éclair leaves the table.

"Thank you for all of your hard work, Haruhi" Kyoya says as he walks over to Haruhi, "after that request from Lady Éclair, your debt has been paid. You finally repaid us for that renaissance vase you broke. So you're free to quit the host club, if you want".

"When they're young, they assume they have all the time in the world, but really, that is never the case" Kyoya's Father says as he walks past, "don't waste your time with something that will ultimately have no value".

"You don't know anything about the host club" Hikari says as she stands in front of Kyoya's Father, blocking his path, "Kyoya-senpai works around the clock to make sure everyone here is enjoying themselves. And did you ever stop to think that entertaining others might give us some kind of fulfilment? How can you possibly say that what we do here is a waste of our time? I don't care what you say. I think Kyoya-senpai is amazing".
