'Being stuck out at sea fucking sucks.' Three thought to himself. He was heading off to go to vacation when a wicked thunderstorm hit and crashed the plane into the ocean. Now he was stuck here with a makeshift raft made out of two plane seats.

It seemed he was the only survivor, or at least, the only one around.

Three had been rowing for a while now, hoping to find someone or something when he found land.

"Oh, thank god!" Three started to row even faster to the small island. He couldn't be happier to be on dry land.

The first thing Three set up was a campfire. Using the resources that the island provided him, he also started to make a shelter.

When Three was picking up some old driftwood, he swore he heard something behind him.

The castaway turned around to see nothing. He shrugged and turned back to camp.

---------------------------------------------------

It's been five days since Three had found this island, and he hasn't seen a single plane or ship pass by once.

He started to lose hope. He sighed and went to go fill up on some water.

Three headed to the grotto he had found on his second day here when he started to make a shelter.

He knelt down to the lake and cupped his hands to drink. Little did he know, he was being watched.

------------------------------------------------

Four watched the mysterious man take another sip of water from his hiding spot. He first noticed the man a few nights ago, when he found him lifting up some old wood. Though it seems he wasn't careful enough, as the man turned to face him, he dove and hid in the water.

Now Four watches from afar. There was something about him that drew Four in. He wanted to be closer to this mysterious man, but not knowing how.

The man got up to leave, when he noticed something, oh no. Was Four not careful again!?!

But, no he saw the man run and shouting at something. "Hey! Get away from that you motherfucker!"

Four carefully moved closer to see what the man was yelling at.

Seagulls, of course.

Four remembered those pests very well when he would go out to the beach to warm up on cold days. They would pick at him like he was their next meal. But most of the time, they would become his instead.

The man groaned; it seems the seagulls had ruined something the man was working on. Four felt bad, wanting to help. But what could he do?

--------------------------------------------------------

"Fuck." Three groaned out, his legs gave out and he slumped in the sand. The seagulls had ruined his makeshift commutator. "Great, now I have to fix this." He got up and turned around to see a bizarre sight in front of him.

In front of him was a man with black hair and bright blue eyes. But that wasn't the weird part, no the weird part was he had a fucking fish tail.

Both parties screamed in shock.

Three grabbed a sharp rock and pointed it at the mermaid. "S-stay back! You won't steal my soul tonight!"

The mermaid let out a few clicks, a worried look on his face. It seemed he didn't know how to speak English.

Three sighed, what was he thinking? He slumped down back on the sand. "This has to be a dream." He pointed to the mermaid. "You can't be real!"

The mermaid looked sad. It started to move closer to Three, he backed away in fear until he backed his way into a tree.

The mermaid stopped, disheartened he turned away and started to head towards the grotto.

Three felt a knot in his stomach. The first face he has seen in a long time, and he scared them away.

---------------------------------------------------

Three woke up the next day dehydrated. "Great..."

He went back to the grotto. When he got there, he saw the most adorable sight.

There in the middle of the lake was the mermaid on the top of a rock, sleeping like a squished pancake.

Distracted by the sight in front of him, Three didn't notice a root in front of him and fell into the lake.

The splash waking up the mermaid. He looked down to see Three soaking wet.

Three felt his face blushing. "Y-you didn't see anything b-bak-baka." He stuttered out.

The mermaid giggled. Three felt his heart racing.

Three looked away from the mermaid. "Hey," he said softly, gaining the mermaid's attention. "I'm sorry about what I said last night."

The mermaid got closer to him. Three didn't run away this time. The mermaid brought him in close.

He brought their heads together. Finally, the mermaid spoke to him, through his mind. 'I understand. You are far away from home.'

"Yeah, now. I think I'm stuck here forever." Three felt tears forming in his eyes. It's not like anyone would miss him. He had no friends and no family; he hated his job. This vacation was the only saving grace he had.

'I'm stuck here too.' The mermaid confessed. 'A storm washed me up here, I got very injured. I still am recovering.'

Three looked at the mermaid's tail, he was right. It looked damaged, but it still shimmered in the sunlight.

"I guess were stuck here together. Huh?" Three softly smiled.

The mermaid started to blush. 'D-do you want to be stuck here with me?'

Three raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Of course. Why do you ask?"

The mermaid brought Three in closer and kissed him.

Out of all the things Three had to be stuck with, he's glad it's with Four.
