"You fucking girl! You were the one who kept reminding me not to forget about the game and not to be late, and it turns out, you were the one who was not present the entire day."

Cheuse listened silently and did not interrupt Evory's nagging.

"Gosh! I can't believe you missed Danika's winning moment against Ren. Also, because of that freaking win, she got some sort of boost that made her challenge the Aderman twins. Not just Lucas, but also Marcus! And bitch! She wins against the two of them! It was such a historical moment in our school and an embarrassing moment for them that their respective escort teachers negotiated with the principal to not let any videos of the match leak outside the school."

Inilayo ni Cheuse ang cellphone sa kanyang tainga dahil sa boses ng kaibigan. The more excited Evory is, the more her voice pitches higher until she will literally screams and it almost breaks her eardrums.

Hinintay ni Cheuse na maibsan ang excitement sa boses ng kaibigan bago magtanong ng mahinahon. "What happened after that?"

Even though her voice was calm, her heart was boiling with excitement. She was one of the few people who encouraged Danika to have more courage and she's really excited to watch her friend unleash her full potential in playing the sports she loves but alas.

"Hey! Can't you show some enthusiasm?" Evory's voice turned back to the original tone.

"I am. I'm even celebrating in my heart." Cheuse said while smiling. She puts the call on the loudspeaker before putting the phone above the vanity table. "By the way, I'm coming there."

"To where?' Evory asked confusedly.

Cheuse tilts her head as she puts on her eyeliner. "To school, of course."

"Gaga, sino naman ang pupuntahan mo sa eskwelahan? Eh, wala nang mga tao roon." Natatawa na sabi ni Evory.

Cheuse continues putting on eyeliner while she questions her best friend, "Then, where are you right now?"

"Home, but later, we will go to a buffet restaurant in the City Centre. Iilibre tayo ng mga magulang ni Dani. Oh! And Dani said that you need to be present since you missed the match."

Cheuse chuckles. "Of course." She puts back the eyeliner on its place after she's done using it. "When you say buffet restaurant, are you talking about Luxuous Buffet Restaurant?"

"Yes!" Coincidentally, Evory was also putting on some makeup. "You know that place? I heard that it is a new restaurant. Girl, don't tell me you went there and didn't even bother telling me?"

Cheuse ignores Evory's last sentence. "That place is awesome and the food is pleasing to the palate. The fee per head is kind of expensive, but it's worth it. Really worth it. Also, Dani's parents are rich so it's not a problem for them."

Evory rolled her eyes when her best friend ignored her last sentence. "You're guilty, girl." She said.

Cheuse cleared her throat. "I'm not." She decided to change the direction of the topic. "Since it's in the City Centre, I'll just walk there from my house."

"Well, your house is located Downtown so you can just walk your way to the City Centre." Wala sa sariling sabi ni Evory.

"That's what I said, you airhead," Cheuse said sarcastically.

"I'm not an airhead, you bitch." Evory strikes some poses in the mirror. "I'm gonna hang up now na, girl. Still going to try my newly bought dress from a new application called Virtual Emporium."

"Alright. See you at the restaurant." Cheuse hangs up immediately because she knows that if she doesn't hang up first, Evory will continue talking even though that girl was the one who suggested hanging up.
