Gage
"Eden?" What was she doing here? I pushed past Nadia and Vannessa, "Eden what the hell are you doing here?" My sister's dead green eyes stared back into mine. She stepped outside and closed the door. She looked nervous, I hadn't seen her since she got me kicked out but she was thinner and had bleached her hair blonde.
"Gabriel, you came-" She looked around the porch, she looked like she was looking for someone.
"We're not here for you. Where is everyone else?" I asked. Nadia looked at me. I've never told her about Eden; the only person who even knows about her is Elijah.
"They are inside-" she paused. I stepped closer to the door.
"Then let us in," I said.
"Nadia, they want you to go in first." She muttered, motioning to Nadia.
"No no no. No way she is not going anywhere with you alone. If you want her to go in, we're all going in." Elijah crossed his arms.
Eden's face darkened, "Fine, but just know you asked for it." She opened the door letting us in. Our group walked into what was supposed to be the living room. The windows had black paint on them, and there were red patches on the hardwood floor at the bottom of the three poles. It looked like blood. Three guys tied up to each pole Even though they were bruised and bloody I knew who they were.
"Jase!" Vannesa ran to a guy and fell to the floor. "Oh my god, Jase baby are you ok?" She started tugging at the ropes. "Jase, Jase answer me," she screamed. Jase didn't say a word. He didn't even move.
The door slammed shut. Everyone turned to see Eden locking the door. "Nadia, Nadia, Nadia." As Eden turned around she revealed a long bloody knife. "You were supposed to come alone. My job was supposed to be easy but you just had to bring my poor sappy brother and his friends along didn't you?"
"What the fuck Eden." I started towards her trying to take the knife away from her. I grabbed the hand the knife was in and struggled to get it away from her. "Eden let go!" I yelled as I slammed her into the wall. She turned her hand as she tried to shove the knife into my waist.
I heard shuffling behind me and a scream. Nadia. I let go of Eden's hand and spun around. My father and mother stood holding dark clothes to Vannessa's and Elijah's mouths. Then a tall woman with dark wavy hair stood above Nadia. The next thing I know a sharp pain came shocking from behind my back.
I fell to the floor, the tall woman started kicking Nadia as she curled into a ball. I started to crawl to Nadia. I mumble something I didn't even recognize. Another pain came from my back as I completely fell to the floor. I tried to get up but my body wouldn't move. I needed to help Nadia. I need to. She needed me. I opened my eyes and my sister was leaning down staring at me. The knife she had was now covered in more blood. She leaned down and whispered in my ear, "You've always been weak." then she shoved the knife into my back. Then stood up. The world went black all I could think about was Nadia.
