Jacob

" Why are you even helping her?" Chres asked me.

I sighed." I'm helping her because...." I stopped talking.

Chres: " Hello? Jacob you still there?"

Me: " Yeah I'm still here."

Chres: " So why are you helping her?"

Me: " It's complicated."

Chres sighed." Complicated Jacob? Don't tell me you like this mortal."

I rolled my eyes." Of course not, what do you take me as Chresanto?" I seethed.

Chres: " Don't test me Jacob, I will hang this phone up and find you." He challenged.

Me: " Yeah whatever, look I need to go." I hung up. This is my last chance I have to stop Melody from going out with Ray. I don't know why she won't understand that he's bad news. I was sitting outside of their school, I think they have a good two hours left.

" Um, hi."

I turned around to see a girl with purple hair. Great, this should be interesting." Hi.."

She smiled." My name's Nicky."

Me: " I'm Jacob."

Nicky: " Yes. I've heard about you."

Me: " Oh have you?"

She nodded and sat next to me." You're always with Melody."

Me: " Yeah..." I looked at her.

Nicky: " I just want to know why? There are girls prettier than her. Like me for example."

I chuckled and nodded." Trust me, I'm not what you want."

Nicky: " Never tell a girl that. We're hard headed." She smirked.

I raised an eyebrow." Shouldn't you be in school?" I asked her.

She rolled her eyes." You're more interesting."

Me: " Well I'm not the one you should be curious about." I felt my stomach growl. I huffed." I'll see you around Nicky." I got up and left.

Melody

Me: " Yeah but he has no control over me." I said, packing up.

Jas: " You'll never know, he might be actually protecting you."

Me: " Well it's Friday. Too late." I rolled my eyes as the bell rung.

We left the school. I looked around, surprised Jacob wasn't around." Let's go." We started to walk to Jas' house.

Jas: " We still going to the mall right?"

I nodded." We deserve a nice shopping spree." I got a text. I rolled my eyes thinking was Jacob. I checked my phone and it was Ray.

Ray: Mind if I see you today?

Me: Not at all :) we'll be at the mall. Meet you at the food court?

Ray: Got you. See you then

Me: " Ray's gonna meet us there."

Jas: " Kayy."
