Sophie and Saul drove in silence as they sped through the side roads and neighborhoods leading to the drop location.
"Who are the clients?" Sophie finally asked.
Saul looked at her momentarily. He couldn't trust a Swann. He couldn't trust anyone outside of the DeMarco family.
"Saul, I can stay in the car. Blindfold me if you have to then."
Saul smiled. He was hoping she'd say that.
"Yeah? And what if you recognize the voices? What then?"
"Then take me back to your place, Saul. I can't handle this runaround."
"It's the Garcia's."
"We work with them, jack ass,"Sophie laughed,"They play all of us to see who who has the better deals. I just went a few months ago on a drop with Jack."
"Good, so you know Harold?"
"I do, unfortunately."
"I know he's a man whore..."
"We're just dropping this dope and that's it,"Saul told her.
"Lies. He fucks around too much."
"Like how?"
"I'm a female. Have you never taken a girl on a drop run with you?"
Saul eyed her, "Then stay close to me."
"No."
"God dammit, Sophie.." His hands gripped the wheel.
"Harold sees weakness, Saul. I'm not hiding behind you."
They drove in silence to the location. Frisked at the door, they didn't have to release their weapons as Saul held the briefcase with the dope.
"Ahh, Mr. DeMarco!"Harold's eyes widened, "Miss Swann? Well, this is a lovely surprise! I didn't know the DeMarco's and Swann's were working together."
"We're not,"Saul told him.
A huge sigh left Harold, "One of Eddie's ideas then?" He turned to Sophie who was at least six feet away from Saul, "If only my boys weren't married off. I'd nab you up for one of them. Your life would be better."
Helena, his wife, scowled from some distance behind them. Goons and other Garcia family members were present and lurking.
"The stuff?" Harold waved a hand for Saul to put the case on the desk where Helena stood.
"The cash?" Saul raised an eyebrow.
Sophie had moved closer to the desk, eyeing the other case.
"Is this the money?" She asked.
Saul looked at her, but needed to play it cool. She was so used to the life that she'd forgotten she wasn't supposed to be meddling. Neither did the others.
"It's all there. Fifty grand now, fifty grand later."
"Are we bringing you all of it now?" Sophie asked him.
Saul winced, "That's not the deal, Garcia. One hundred grand now because it's all here.We walk if you don't produce."
Harold was next to Sophie now and sniffing her, "You smell so delicious."
"Cut the shit, Harold,"Sophie frowned, "I've had a rough few weeks."
"She's a sweet little muffin,"Harold stood next to Sophie, placing a hand on her back and running it down her spine, pushing the limits and caressing her ass, "As much as I love my wife, I wouldn't mind a little tussle with you." He slowly squeezed her cheeks, but then felt the cold steel on his chin. Tensing, Harold scowled as he glared at Sophie who pushed her gun further into him.
